I can see it now; Deadline day transfer news: Liverpool Sign Suarez, Arsenal Sign Benzema, Tottenham sign Cole, mass suicide expected in Tottenham area.

Liverpool sign Suarez
Arsenal sign Benzema
Tottenham sign Torres and Aguero, mass jubilation expected in the tottenham area, Levy up for knighthood.

Keeping it positive throughout the transfer window!

This. Levy needs to man up.

how do you mean? i agree with some of the other guys that new tactics might be a good idea, but what are you saying? That he should lash more cash? if so, bit unfair i reckon.... he's always backed managers (or DoF's) with money, and id rather he save it until we found the right player. Iagine if we spent 15 million on someone who turned out to be crap, then a window later Benzema or Aguero (for example) became available, and we couldnt afford them because we'd already spent on someone that wasnt the right fit?

I actually think Levy got VERY lucky in summer window beign offered VdV last minute and it has clouded over the fact what a disaster it was not buying a striker there and then. If it wasn't for VdV I would hazard a guess we wouldnt be in the position we are in now. We NEED a striker. (Unless Inter suddenly ring up and offer Sneider and our midfield scores another 20 goals this season of course)

Edit: Reading that back, I could be being a little unfair as it seems Levy knows this and is offering and doing his best to bring one in. Could just be down to pure bad luck we don't have one yet

He needs to change tact, this current approach doesn't appear to work in the current climate.

Yes I know its frustrating that we havent signned a new uber mega striker just yet but ffs people. Can we all stop pretending that it is a simple task to convince one to join us.

We really should chill a little bit guys the lack of a major striker signing is not an indirect by product of us not trying hard enough it is not even a direct result of that, it is the very essence of the negotiations, it is Daniel Levy's negotiating technique, Brinkmanship, Brinkmanship, Brinkmanship and it seems to me that the other guy tends to eventually blink first, time may, on occasions, run out but the show is far from over, as yet the fat lady ain't even in the building let alone getting ready to sing. :)

I sound very calm don't I?

Doesn't have to be an uber striker. Fabiano or Elamander would do for me!

Gary Mabbutt thinks we have one of the best forward lines in Europe .. maybe Harry does too and is happy with what we've got?
