Wow thank god.

Accidentally clicked on the January ITK thread, which for some reason i actually a thread from early may, and all hell was breaking loose.

I hope this summer we will all learn to be a little bit more patient.

You can't blame him for not posting as much he isn't even allowed a opinion
He only has to have a shit and it makes a splash there is then 400 posts moaning that Tom Dailey isn't good enough to play for us :banghead:

Be honest, Fletch. You only posted this because you thought of the Tom Daley metaphor and thought it’d be funny, right?

Not fully correct I was thinking I wouldn't post at all if people got suicidal and shit the bed just because I burped loudly and then the splash bit came to me (not at me) so I felt I should share it because sharing is careing

Surprised that Emre Can is mentioned with a link to us. A good addition though..
I think we keep mentioning 2 CM players. Surly that means we are expecting to lose one or two of, Wanyama, Dier, Dembele, sissoko or Winks! Or maybe in Diers case moving back mainly into a defensive role.

We all know/hope one is gone, Dembele depending on his fitness might move to a less demanding league, and same with Wanyama, though he seemed to improve a bit again towards the last game.

Winks will stay as will Dier as a Cm/Cb, so can see why we are looking for another 2.

I can see Martial adding a lot to the squad but not so sure about Malcolm?

He looks a decent player but as others have said we’re a bit light in central midfield and up top.

If?! Vorm gets offered a very good 2 year contract with option, it is my belief he will sign and stay, if 1 year extension, he will go.

I like Vorm and think he's probably the best back-up keeper in the league. He deserves to be playing every week elsewhere tbh so wouldn't begrudge him leaving

Been discussed before but I see absolutely no reason to use up non-homegrown slots on backup keepers. Perfectly fine as far as I'm concerned if Vorm leaves.

We need a quality back-up keeper, imo - if we want to compete on 4 fronts.

There are not enough quality HG keepers who are content playing in Cup matches.

I have some news on Toby from someone very close to the club with some details on the contract stand off and why we find ourselves in this situation:

He initially agreed a new contract around October time that would put him on around £120,000 a week. Levy was happy to pay him this as its around the wage ceiling that is currently in place and set to be broken this summer. However his father then got involved in negotiations and despite Toby ‘agreeing’ on the initial terms proposed by Levy, his father then persuaded him to go back and ask for north of £200,000 per week. Understandably Levy said no (for a number of reasons including that the current wage ceiling would be smashed earlier than was planned, this summer, and therefore would involve a number of other first team players immediately demanding those figures) and sent him on his way. Levy was particularly pissed off that after agreeing terms he turned round and asked for more. Other discussions have taken place but because of the sour taste left in Levy’s mouth they have been to no avail. Ironically it looks as though 2/3 players will be around that figure come the end of the summer.
