Why? Pav has simply never hit the heights. Defoe and crouch have been poor, but all on form and he would still warm the bench.

Back on itk topic, bid in for Parker eh... Was only a matter of time.

Not much has happened, other than dazherring saying we had an official bid in for Parker, lots of talk about Palacios to PSG for £14M and rumours from the guy in the Mirror that we'd accepted a £13M bid for Pav from the unpronouncable newly-rich Russian team.

What we do know is it seems likely that Pav has been bid for and the offer is £13m, which seems to have been accepted according to a team in Russia. Pav might not want to move back to Russia however so might not leave.

ITK also seems pretty confident that we have accepted a £14m offer for Wilson. But Wilson remains unsure to accept, and he might fail his medical because of a long standing injury problem.

These are the most interesting news of the day, and is actually probably two of the most concrete things to come out of this window so far.
