Bad enough missing out on him now...but watching him go to a rival :(

I think United will swoosh in for fim...he'd be perfect for them.

It would be like having eye on a girl for months and being too shy to ask her out only for your worst enemy to sneak in there and nab her

What a great comment. Terrific analogy!

Judging by some of the shit I've been reading on here today I feel sorry for those who will have to put up with the interminable drudgery of over expectant, deluded morons with questionable grasps on reality who will be inhabiting the ITk thread all day tomorrow.

Slightly disappointed that Schneiderlin isn't going to happen but it seems from numerous sources that Southampton moved the goal posts more than once but thankfully it doesn't look like we need him at this moment in time (that opinion may have changed by 3.30 PM).

Goons or Liverpool seem most likely unfortunately, perfect for the needs of both and an equally annoying outcome. (n)

Don't forget we had itk that Levy and Poch sat down, discussed who we wanted and the price we'd pay. And Levy put in bids ABOVE those agreed amounts. Levy has done more than enough and I'm pleased he hasn't been ransomed on this.

I certainly don't think Poch is gonna sulk over missing out on this one. He's a grown up, not a spolit brat like AVB! He'll be good enough to improve what we have and we may have turned up a gem in Stambouli. I have complete faith in Levy and Poch and missing out on MS is not the end of the world.

On the other hand, clubs that came in early got their players. The longer it took with MS the deeper Southampton dug in their heels. It looked liked a fire sale at one point. Now Southampton have regained some self-respect by refusing to sell MS. But at Spurs expense.

If Spurs had been first in then maybe Southampton would have been tough to budge on another player like Lovren or Lallana.

@[email protected] You don't think the ITK thread is going to be spammed to buggery by all and sundry tomorrow then?

It will even test the might of A&C who will most likely have to smite many foes with the poo covered ban stick before the day is out.

(and to get back on topic) Really concerned that we're going to miss out on Morgan now, excellent player, homegrown and scoring for fun at the moment.

Was not that fussed over MS, but I want him. So am kinda disappointed in the news. Was hoping we could do a swap with Townsend+cash, but I doubt Saints want Townsend now at this point.
