I'd be guessing a Berahino deal could be close as if suspect his people could now put the pressure on West Brom by holding out of games to get a deal done. There was a rumoured deadline his advisors were putting in place and I would guess today is it.

A genuine defensive midfielder? At Spurs? The clubs are close to an agreement but his advisors want to wait to see who else shows an interest. The Goat hears that IF this happens it may well be a late one.

You could make the bolded section 15 miles high in flashing lights and I suspect it still wouldn't register.... but good luck

Sounds like it's Bender.

Seems like this kind of situation is a recipe for deadline day disaster. I hope we've got alternatives lined up and we've got a deadline in place.

Unless his rumoured deadline is as useful as Schneiderlin's, which got extended by two weeks before Utd eventually bought him.

can we take that risk though? if that falls through late will we have time for another that is good enough

hard one for the club to call I guess

Looking at the Goat's latest bleat suggests that the targets we're trying to sign are of the right caliber if they're potentially waiting to see if a CL club comes in for them. Can't blame players for taking this stance if they are of that standard. The downside of course is that it tends to delay potential deals.

I realise many struggle with the concept but patience is still the order of the day, at least on the CM front.

Hopefully we can tie up N'Jie and Berahino in the next week or two.

I doubt it is Bender - otherwise why not name him as he has been heavily linked now? Must be an unkown... *cue the guessing game*

I think one thing we've done this window is make sure we won't be left short of options.

This one has the pressure of losing Berahino for games though. Pure speculation by me of course.

And we move to full manic mode lol. You guys crack me up. Fantastic news on the DM and forward/s. Would be lovely to get them in now, but truthfully now they know they're for sale their agents will be knocking on the big boys doors looking for a bumper pay day.

We may not get them all and most will probably run till the last week. So please leave the razors alone and be patient. I'm sure we as a club are trying and thanks to JJ, Trix and Grey Fox for lifting the mood :)

Will be interesting to see if he plays on Monday. Doubt he'll want to start the season if he really has agreed terms with us.

They all have delusions of grandeur - assume that their boy is the next big thing and also their boy will earn them a shit load of cash to boot. Dunno what margin/cut they are on - lets guess at 25% of any deal and wage they broker ...... say we are offering £ 3million a year in wages - that 'advisor' is looking at a payday of £750k ..... if someone else comes in offering £3.5million a year that's an extra £125k for the advisor...... Now dunno bout you guys but I would be patient and hold out for another 24 days if it meant another £125k..... Figures and percentages may be way out but the principle remains the same.....
