Your pissing against the wind here Dan, just because he won that award (joke as Vidic/VDS/Modric/etc was far more deserving, Bale's award was a joke too) he must be the bollox as our manager keeps on telling us he's a top, TOP player.....

Come on SD, you know better than that mate.

I like you, and I think you generally give very good reasoned posts, even though I don't always agree with them.

I mentioned the award, because you cannot get away from it, it's his. Wether he was deserving is neither here nor there, but Parker will add something to the squad, you cannot deny that surely. Certainly more than Senna would

Why do People moan that were only interested in average, squad players etc?
We can all see that we've got a lot of dead wood in the squad and if the powers that be think we can reduce the squad whilst improving the overall quality, so be it, and let then get on with it!

At the end of the day I'm sure not all 'itk' is being fed out, so lets just enjoy it for what it is or STFU!

Simples :)

I'm surprised we havent been linked yet with the wonderfully named French lad Marvin Martin. He has racked up an impressive 19 assits this year for Sochaux, 9 more than Gervinho and 11 more than Hazard. He even netted twice on his France debut last week.
too true. One of the best talents in france.

10 in 49 for Palermo, hardly prolific is it

I have never seen him play in all fairness so know nothing about him

He's had quite bad injury problems this season, hence the lack of goals and games.

Whenever I saw him last season I thought he was a very good young player.

No, but he's £10m cheaper than Parker and would be on less wages.

£10m cheaper? Not even harry would pay £10m for Parker and no way Levy would allow it. I don't want Parker but hopefully we'll pay no more than £5m if we go for him.

Senna was a very limited footballer at his best. Did a good job with good ball players around him, not sure he'd cope in the prem now.

Romelu Lukaku is very close to signing for Chelsea. The manager of RSCA will meet Chelsea officials in Monaco on saturday to conclude a deal. Price quoted is 22,5 m euro.

Would've been great for us :(

If we did not have Sandro then I would be for it, the fact that we do and also the fact that Parker does spend quite a bit of time on the injury table puts me firmly in the camp of not wanting him. I also fear he will start ahead Sandro.that in my opinion should NEVER happen. Sandro is our future captain to be and also our very own Vieira. He is that good!!!

I agree with you re Sandro, he is that good. I just feel that Parker would be another option or could play with sandro.

I really don't think/hope that Harry would drop Sandro for Parker. I really don't.

Wouldn't mind Charlie Adam if Mystery's info is true. Be nice to have someone who can score free-kicks at last.

Not sure where he'd play or if any of our CM's would get enough games to want to stay.

Well not surprising. Our "big" transfers seem to breakdown at the last minute.

Fabiano was in the departure lounge waiting for his flight before the deal went belly up. Benzema was in London for secret talks then the whole deal went deadly silent. What happened to that Ceballos kid with his 3 year contract plus the 2 year extension?

I've been saying for months we will go for Ferdinand. He could well be surplus to requirements at Man United next season and he's got just the kind of mentality we need at the club. He still speaks to Harry a lot as well.

I would love to see Rio in a spurs shirt but the problem is one of priorities. The wage bill has to be significantly reduced this year so we have to be very choosy about where we spend the wages and really concentrate on the areas of the pitch that we need to upgrade most.

Bringing in squad players on high salaries significantly detracts from our ability to pay the wage costs of for instance a top striker. We simply cannot afford to strengthen all areas in the current wage environment.

At centre half we have Gallas King Dawson Kaboul + Khumalo - due we really need to put more of our precious wage resource to this area?

I was thinking - if Ferdinand does come in, who is dropped?
