Very much in the Dier flexibility mold of a defensive mid to slotting in with three at the back, experienced player who's played in the Premier League with Cardiff and also plays for Inter so ties in with reports of our team over in Northern Italy.

We rarely bid for players with 2 or 3 years on their contract, unless they're on the market or in a lesser league / division.

Looks like Chiellini, Barzagli Lichtsteiner, and Asamoah all the senior players whose contracts expire in 2018.

They also happen to play in the positions we're currently scouting for players.

Perhaps if Juve are chasing a marquee signing that might also indicate who of those or others they might let go.

We won't have been daft enough to bid for Dybala. Leave that to West Ham haha!

I was coming in more from the angle of 'experienced South American' than 'Juventus player bid' which Breezer said was separate.
