Why would we bid for Gylfi? I get Poch has been polite about him etc but really not what we need.
Someone like Sigurdsson is exactly what we need. But there's no way we'll pay what Swansea want, and rightly so.

I love Gylfi, and he does brilliantly for Swansea, but I don't think he's suited to playing for the bigger teams. I'm not sure he'd be what Everton need, let alone us.

Barkley makes a lot more sense than Sigurdsson given his contract situation and Everton would be more willing to let Barkley go now that they have Rooney. We know Swansea want to keep hold of Gylfi so will want a lot more for him.
