It's only peripherally relevant (and barely at all ITK, so 'pologies) but on the subject of Bolasie, I understand he relatively recently acquired a new agent. This new agent, as was suggested earlier in the thread, seems pretty good. Hence, I'm guessing why Bolasie's name is well out there and in the public mind.

Meanwhile, the word is that Bolasie's previous agent is now some kind of sorry Jerry Maguire figure, with one last client, desperately pushing that client for any and all media coverage, branding opportunities and career development wherever he can. If he loses this client, he hasn't got anything. So he's on the phone to the club of this player every day, urgently seeking new opportunities for his sole talent, his sole "star man".

That client? Nacer Chadli.

Bless.
This is the underdog story I can get behind.

Until "Wantaway ace Chadli asks for £100k per week" stories begin popping up in the rags.

This is incorrect as far as I know.

Well that lasted a few.... Seconds.

:cautious:
Never bash ITK imo...

Not bashing at all, but it sounds very strange.

Yannick Bolasie has been for a couple of years at least (maybe still is, IDK) represented by some Mr. Sorzano ( who has assigned him self the postfix Esq). Said Sorzano has not IMO represented Chadli. Chadli is represented by EMG Mundial (who also represent Musacchio). That's easy for all to see, because EMG are very open on social media supporting their players. Ie. "Happy 10th goal for Chadli" and that sort of thing. Hence, I find the agent story a bit far fetched.

Fair enough. The guy I heard it from is *extremely* likely to know. But it's third hand. And told informally over a beer. Perhaps one of those cases where a player has more than one agent?
This is incorrect as far as I know.

My understanding is that Bolasie's agent is John Sorzano (a registered lawyer) and this is his twitter account -

A lot about Chadli on there - but thought he was registered with another agent. So there seems to be some relationship

Ha! He even invites the Jerry Maguire comparison. :)

Good find, mate.

And, in the interests of full disclosure, I did, I should point out, utterly do my fair share of helping Mr Chadli in his quest for worldwide media stardom. Ahem...

Sorzano is DEFINITELY one of Chadli's agents (likely his Belgian agent wanted someone on the ground in England to help out hence the registration details on transfermkt etc. Sorzano was Bolasie's agent and I wouldn't be surprised if he's now left him

Guys down the gym rate that Appolagies kid higher than anyone.

Lamela's dribbling style reminds me of a deer at times. Bolasie reminds me of a deer with Tourette's being electrocuted. I don't want him or rate him, he's 26 and if we did buy him I'd seriously wonder what our new recruitment objectives are. He's not one for the future, he's hitting his peak and I don't think his peak is good enough for where we want to get to.

If you replaced Nacer Chadli with

Carlton Cole

then it's on
