I seriously doubt Pochettino would talk about money.

So he took an MBA as part of his preparation to become a manager, but he doesn't want to understand the business side of Spurs nor recommend players on a 'value for money' basis and nor have an adult discussion with DL on whether he thinks player X is worth the money demanded ? Nor to 'manage' the players wages budget ?

So why did he take the MBA do you think. Was he just trying to kill time ?

Fact? Couldn't comment on what we've told Berahino, his agent or even Peace. I don't know, like I don't know with Bats, on what the dialogue and the decisions that have been made - by Spurs, the player, his current club or his agent. Everyone is doing a lot of surmising without much substance. To apportion blame in any one particular direction is silly without knowing the facts. Which of course is not uncommon on here...

Fair enough :)

But that doesn't fit the narrative that Levy is an idiot who is secretly an Arsenal fan who is quietly trying to screw us over by refusing to spend the billions we have under the sofa in WHL. So we must continue to believe that Poch has no concept of cost and only understands quality.

This is worth a triple star rating.

Isn't MBA the shortened form of My Batshit?

Janssen maybe, but he's nowhere near as Bats.
Sanabria is just a different kind of player. He's not a number 9 and even further in the development. The most raw of the 3.

Besides, how can you judge Bats for wanting the money when he rejected Wham and CP? We never got a bid accepted. He didn't choose the money. He chose the bigger club between those who got a bid accepted. What did you expect him to do? Wait til the end of the window for us hoping for Levy to loosen the purse? And that without taking into consideration that unfortunately Chelsea have a higher status than us in world football. So its not about the money really

He (allegedly) turned down CP and WHU because he wanted to come to us. Chelsea rock up with a ridiculous salary offer and it takes him a matter of seconds to (probably) sign. Don't think CP or WHU were offering the mooted 150k wages, so, yes, I think he went for the pay cheque. Doesn't sound like he waited for an offer from us though which I'm not particularly bothered by. We have plenty of time to buy someone else.

Falcao has a Degree in Journalism. That doesn't mean he interviews himself.

I don't think Pochettino talks about money with Levy. He may have discussed something concrete with Levy under a certain situation where we had to chose, but not like you said that he made a list that had top prices for each player.

You actually believe that if Levy would've paid 33m for Bats (let's imagine for a second he would), Pochettino would say, "No, he's more expensive that what I think he's worth, don't buy him"

Meh. Anyone who makes a conscious decision to become part of that subhuman ape farm is clearly not a human being with any shred of moral decency or fibre, so fuck him. I remember when cuadrado went there and everyone wet their pants and he was absolute wang. Eric D will make a jigsaw puzzle out of him anyway.

It's easier for chelsea to attract players irrespective of wages and CL. If you don't see that already, you are deluded.
Besides, it's not like we had a better sporting offer. He would've also been a substitute here. In fact it would be easier for him to dislodge Costa at chelsea than Kane at Spurs

I would love to see the faces of those that's saying "f**k him" and he's after the money and all the other premature crap.........if he then lines up for us.....

Shouldn't we wait until he's at least signed for another club......even then I don't see the need to lose our heads.....

He's a good player but he's never played in the PL so we really don't know how things will turn out either way

In terms of career progression - Chelsea are a better option. They offer more playing time now, and in a couple of years he can move up to a Champions League team.

I was aware of that (same as virtually every other football supporter on earth), but thanks for the heads up anyway.

Don't see much difference in Chelsea signing Batshuayi than when they signed Lukaku. They didn't have the patience for him and he wasted a few years at a mid table team. I'm sure the pair of them have spoken but if Batshuayi has chosen money above all then I don't think he'd be the player for us. Signing a player like Janssen or Sanabria will keep the squad harmony on an even keel.

I said it before and I will say it one last time. He's Belgium's 4th in line striker and is not all that and I am glad the chavscum are spunking £30m+ He is not worth it. But we have to move fast on the others.
