Probably doing the much criticised thing of reading too much into something an ITK says, which isn't actually there..but.. I see that last line as a lot more negative than the weeks of positive ITK that we have received...

Yeah me too. Probably has seen the reaction to who we're actually in for and knows people aren't going to be that happy. Which probably means Gomes and Gray.

Would that positive ITK include JJ saying he was still calm and hopeful less than 12 hours ago? He's just saying he doesn't care about peoples' opinions lol. Remember there's still people that don't want Barkley.

I took that to mean that he is calm and hopeful about the players that we are after - whether or not everyone likes who they are is another matter

Considering Mahrez and Drinkwater are likely to leave today as well, I can't see Leicester accepting any cut price deal for him either so if it's 30 big ones for Gray then I for one will be disappointed.

Yes, its Barkley or Gomes. Fact that we made this bid yesterday, means Barkley is already dead. May be , we could go back in winter or sign him on a free next season. As for as Chelsea bid, heard that it was Barkley who rejected their bid.

Gray was mentioned as third in line behind two other players that weren't named, he was also mentioned as 'if'.

Probably better to try an enjoy the ride I reckon, it's part of the fun isn't it?

So far the quality of players we have brought in are far superior to last season (Bar Wanyama).

Along as we continue to do that I'll be happy, if not then I'd rather save our money until the next transfer window.

Would love to get Ross Barkley in this TW. A player to compete with Dele for the No10 role.

Would hate a last minute deal like Sissoko again. That sent the message that we were desperate.

The funny thing is that Poch for the last two seasons has been looking for a pacey wing forward of a particular quality but we haven't prioritised for one this transfer window.

I would have thought that would have been the first type of player we would have brought this summer and not leave it to the last minute again.

I think Balde was the wide forward we initially wanted I believe Dominico Berardi is possibly the wide forward we will sign from Sassuolo!!!

Based on JJ's tweet it seems that we'll get the pieces that Poch needs (Right Back, Creative Midfielder and pacy player) but they probably won't be remarkable or exciting signings.

That's fine by me if Poch gets what he wants.

We dont do loan without option to buy. Barca want 40m EUR on any permanent deal. That would be a sticky point though.

Everything needs to make it in there or it becomes pointless. If there's something that should be in there that isn't, flag it up to us and we'll update the ticker with it.
