Like I said, that is the logical explanation - but the ITK is jsut worded ambiguously, and loaning him back for the rest of the season would, IMHO (not that Dan is asking ) would be fine, loaning him baack for next season as well wouldn't.

Newcastle 100% asked about Vorm this morning were told to come back in the summer got told earlier there going to come back with a 12 million bid if they do vorms going Swansea couldn't reject that

There is no reason whatsoever for Newcastle to be enquiring in Vorm unless there is uncertainty over Krul's future although I'm surprised Man Utd have been apparently sniffing around.

So it seems that a goal keeper merry go round is about to commence

The rumour for that was that united buy Vorm and loan de Gea too swans ....not true!

Il ask again Tommorow if newcastle have came back and then il ask the person I know to ask Newcastle or Michel Vorm himself about Tim Krul and where he's off!

Btw Liverpool & Arsenal & United have required about joe Allen & Liverpool for Sinclair

Joe Allen looks class! We should seriously be looking at him.

Man United will not spend £10million+ on a keeper in the next few years.

Krul to Spurs. Vorm to Newcastle. That's fine with me.

Wasn't questioning it...just saying it was interesting

£20 M on de Gea (I thought it was £17 M, actually ), means they can't just ditch him out of hand, sending him out on loan might help (said in the Summer that it was way previous just expecting him to adapt to the English game with no difficulties = SMUG ). That means that it would seem unlikely that they would spend too much on a replcement - unless they were going to keep him long-term and let the two slog it out over a career. Even still, I would have to ask where they are getting all of this money, and what the long-term effect of it will be for them.

That seems incredibly short termist for Man Utd and a huge vote of no confidence in De Gea, no matter how they dress that one up.

Joe Allen has really impressed this season and looks to have a great footballing brain on him. As for Sinclair, I'm not completely sold on him but is a talent for sure, although I'm more a Nathan Dyer fan personally.

I'd be v.happy with Krul as No.1.

As good as Friedel has been he was never a long term solution, so if this is true we could have our 'keeper for the next 10+ years sorted.

Still no definite sounding striker ITK though, so I reckon we will stick with what we have.

Put it this way 18 million would get us Vorm & Allen!

Feel sorry for Swansea though my uncle & the board are gutted they are becoming a victim of their own success clubs circling their players!

Vorm though did say he loves it at Swansea as the people come up to him alot and say he's a legend and stuff maybe he wouldn't go up north to the toon he's settled down in mumbles with his lil baby!

So I'm not sure! Maybe we could send Gomes too Swansea

Re Archie's ITK - are you actually allowed to loan players back any more? Doesn't that mean the registration is transfered too many times for the new rules.

The only thing with Krul is that we'd be properly bent over.

Don't forget Ashley is a yid and best buddies with PK.

What about Joe Allen? What kind of money would we be talking? Would he come?

£8 million plus

Probably not when Swansea are in the prem he's a Swansea lad through and through! But money talks!

Would be gutted if he goes to any other team rather than us he's soo good and I'm not being biased because I've played with and against him! He's just such a talent amazing

Don't think any deal for Krul would go down well whatsoever with the Geordie faithful but then when did Ashley ever give a flying fuck about the fans!
To be fair the fans up their know fuck all, they would have Keegan back in a heartbeat.

Its not a contradiction at all.

What I'm saying is that I don't see us getting a back up of Adebayor's class in to sit on the bench. Totally different is a player in Long's bracket to come in as back up, which is what the discussion is about.

If H played Long over Defoe, JD would quite rightly wonder what the fuck is going on. I'm all for being realistic but Long is not and never will be a Spurs player - he isn't good enough, not for this squad.

Ok, misunderstanding. I personally think we can go at least one 'bracket' higher than Long for a back-up, but what I think is crucial is finding a striker with similar hold-up and link-up play as Adebayor. He probably won't be in Ade's 'bracket' in terms of the level he's at in his career/being the polished article, I concede.

I agree with this - we're not looking at top notch but we can get the next rung down and that's better than Long. Sign Long and you end up with the Pav situation all over again - a quick fix that isn't good enough long term.

But why would a back up for Ade be behind Defoe in the pecking order Eek

Depends who they are Pinky....Long? Get to the back of the queue...

Krul to Spurs. Vorm to Newcastle. That's fine with me.

Joe Allen's no better than Piennar and he plays in a midfield 3 - if Piennar was at Swansea he'd be better in that position than Allen...
