Put it this way 18 million would get us Vorm & Allen!

Feel sorry for Swansea though my uncle & the board are gutted they are becoming a victim of their own success clubs circling their players!

Vorm though did say he loves it at Swansea as the people come up to him alot and say he's a legend and stuff maybe he wouldn't go up north to the toon he's settled down in mumbles with his lil baby!

So I'm not sure! Maybe we could send Gomes too Swansea

The Mumbles is a lovely area and not too far from where I reside (in the Vale, Cowbridge way) but I digress. I'm sure the board will have some tough decisions to make in spurning offers for their prize assets - all depends in how they look to reinvest.

Joe Allen is the jewel in the crown though and looks destined to play at a higher level again.

If H played Long over Defoe, JD would quite rightly wonder what the fuck is going on. I'm all for being realistic but Long is not and never will be a Spurs player - he isn't good enough, not for this squad.

I agree with this - we're not looking at top notch but we can get the next rung down and that's better than Long. Sign Long and you end up with the Pav situation all over again - a quick fix that isn't good enough long term.

Depends who they are Pinky....Long? Get to the back of the queue...

Joe Allen's no better than Piennar and he plays in a midfield 3 - if Piennar was at Swansea he'd be better in that position than Allen...

Jesus you just caught your mrs in bed with the milkman?

Haha no why? I didn't get personal on anyone's arse did I?

I appreciate your info and not for one minute slagging it but I bet Long is way down a long list for H....or is he quickly moving to the top?

To be honest they can't really afford to turn down 10M + offers they might but it's unlikely 10Mil for one player could run the club for a while! They also have a fantastic scouting network!

Joe is class always has been I had the privilege of being a team mate & playing vs him always been a different level!

I would rather Vorm over krul tho lads

We really need to look beyond the Prem for a keeper, the overall standard in England is poor. My choice would be Handanovic at Udinese, he is a beast in the Schmeichel mould.

All about opinions Steve. Long wouldn't be my first choice by a long way but I would have him in the squad over Pav that's for sure and as you well know he's a different type of forward to Defoe which would give some ability to hold the ball up. Defoe might of worked on this aspect of his game but not to the extent that he could play this role as a lone front man regularly.

We'll see how Defoe gets on come Sunday with no physical partner to feed off.

I like Defoe with Adebayor by the way, that's looked potent on several occasions but not on his own to replace Ade in the current system.

I would say that the premier league is at least as good as Italy and Spain when it comes to keepers, if not better. Don't mistake the lack of keeping talent in the English system (although Hart is up there with the best) as an issue with the league.

Handanovic is a great keeper, but he's probably the best the league has to offer - AT THE MOMENT.

I'm confused would you buy Krul or Handanovic ?

Where has the £15m pricetag for Krul come from? Cant see this in any ITK.

This deal would get the thumbs up from me, very good keeper.

No mate, just seemed like you was a bit low! I did say amongst others but he was the name i was given. Id imagine that Harry is making looking at players like Ba who have improved at every level

Steven Fletcher I see is linked to Real Madrid again, shows you that even those clubs are not ignorant to look at the lesser names in the premier league

Doesn't matter. I'm not Levy or Harry. I would be happy enough with either I imagine. I was just saying that the league has good keepers and that scouting here isn't necessarily bad.

Personally I would want a keeper that speaks solid English due to the need for communication at that position. After that I would prefer organization and command over great shot stopper.

I like Fletcher. He's a hard worker and has shown himself adaptable to different roles as a forward. Is the right fit for us? Don't know. But worthy of our respect if Harry shows interest.

Tbh i worry how good these sorts of players would be when they spend 75% of their time on the bench.
