It's explained in Post 1 of the Twitter thread. There's so many WUM's on there that this thread would be inundated with bullshit if Twitter were allowed in here and to make that an easy rule to follow, we don't have it in here at all. Ever. No matter what the source.

Yeah, totally my own opinion (apart from the fact that JJ is on there now but he's the exception). I'm talking about other media outlets which might help corroborate or add further detail to whatever ITK is being discussed in here. It seems a bit 'Kafkaesque' to focus purely on one facet of a potential transfer while excluding other components which might help us gain a clearer picture of the overall situation.

You'd think. But no. This section of the Transfer Rumours forum is purely for posters on various forums who have contacts or purported contacts in the Tottenham world. This is a place for placing and discussing any such information.

You wouldn't post Happy Birthday to a poster in a random thread about Juande Ramos. You'd post it in the Happy Birthday thread. The same thing applies here. We let you have a go at policing yourselves. You can't do it. Now it's our turn.

This is the ITK discussion thread. If you want to post about what Sky Sports News are saying about AVB then please feel free to go to the 'New Manager Chat' thread, or whatever it's called. The idea that this is a general discussion for all walks of Transfer Discussion is a myth. Much like Andy Gray creating the 'daylight' rule for offside.

Agree to a point. But our best source of ITK did say late yesterday "enjoy your new manager tomorrow" or something similar. We must be able to support that claim from outher sources agreeing with that. Its hard to discuss that particular ITK comment otherwise. May as well have a RO section and have done with it

(no dig just thought I would make my point as a long standing SC poster!)

Maybe I'm being a bit slow here, if so I apologise, but I have a question as regards the new rules. Would I be right in thinking that once ITK has been proved to be correct, i.e. AVB appointed to be Head Coach, it then ceases to be ITK and should go into the new manager thread?

Loved Clive Allen as a player so in that sense it's a shame he's been let go via that ITK, however I'm sure another ITK (maybe Windy?)said he was quite limited and just used to eff and blind at the kids he was coaching, so maybe we're looking for more than just a shouty bloke telling them to run about a bit. Sure are exciting times ahead. Just back from my hols btw so ola

Do we get a Stoof stamp for AVB ?

The ITK about the meltdown proved correct, although not as a result of a wash of annoucements - just the one.

Hopefully the info re Oscar will be correct and this will be the first follow-up signing. This definitely seems to have AVB written all over it as opposed to Verts who would have been a player most managers would welcome.

(sorry but this is hilarious, more MOD ban stick chat now than there was spam before! :ROFLMAO:......I love SC)

you wouldn't be able to discuss AVB in general just the ITK that was released about him at that time

Related to this bit of ITK (no 158 - The meltdown)

So that I can clear everything up an clear my inbox out, thought it good to just say it all.

- Bale was the beginning as I said yesterday
- Expect to have AvB paraded before the world in the next 48 hours (I'm hearing as soon as tomorrow)
- Vert, Sig to confirm signing either same day or 24 hours later
- I'm finding out about investor/partner this evening. Ill see if the Qatuar links are correct. Or Kuwaits or even just a lottery winner fancing a punt (the last bit is a joke)
- Ade to be confirmed soon (Bale was a big part of this)
- Mourinto number one target
It appears that the timing was a lttle off for the announcement, but now I am expecting Vert and Sig soon.

I couldn't find the ITK saying 2 bad bits of news and three good, but have to think Modders going is going to be announced soon after the signings.

The more I see of Oscar, the more I want him. If Aquayid has his money right, I don't think we will. If, however, he got his pounds, euros and dollars mixed, I'd love to have him for say 10m GBP.

For those who didn't see this earlier, here's what Oscar is all about.

Can I just say that this is much better reading. 3 pages instead of the usual 20+ of bollocks !!! Well done Mods.

Anyway, "If" AVB is here for the "project", then changing the Scouting system at the club is a must, no? From what I have read, he has a certain way of playing, a "system", and you need the right players to fit into this system. This is where he had a problem at Chelsea where he had too many square pegs in round holes to make it work.

I'm pretty sure that the scouts that he plans to bring in will know exactly what AVB is looking for in players and can identify the player that fit this system. Who knows. The current scouting team may be great and finding players who are good at "fecking running around a bit" but not good at exploiting spaces and dragging opposing markers away from dangerous areas.

Also, if true, sad to hear about Clive Allen as well. I will never forget that he has been a legend for the club but it pains me to say that letting him go is probably the right decision for this "project". AVB will want his system and philosophy stamped thoughout the club and have everyone playing his way from grassroots all the way to the senior team. Not a bad thing in my books as the British players being technically inferior to their european counterparts is the hot topic of conversation at the moment and maybe this is the kickstart we need. Potentially, we can have a Barca-esque youth system in place if things go well. Anyway, it's hard to teach old dogs new tricks so to speak so AVB will want so install staff he knows he can rely on to hit the ground running.

If it works, we maybe seeing the start of a dynasty. If it fails, it will seriously put Spurs back a few years. For this spurs supporter, I'm hoping that it's the former and my kids will be watching a tottenham-esque Barca 20 years from now. ;)

COYS !!!!
