I see stacks of ITKs posted here that don't get posted in the read-only.

Also, what's the point of this thread if you're not allowed to ask questions about ITKs?
There's a difference between what does and doesn't get posted in the Read Only but i'm not about to waste my time pointing them out to you. Sufficient to say something like that would certainly be in the Read Only.

The Read Only is there precisely so you don't have to (repeatedly) ask.

And anything that doesn't get added to ro will be in the player thread, so always best to go and ask in there.

Surely we fly out to Munich today, in which case I don't see anything happening on the incoming front before the end of the week.

Stambouli signed for PSG while they were in New York, I think Sterling signed for City when they were in Australia etc etc

We can sign while the squad is away and, like others ahave said could even do the press in Germany if we do indeed sign one of the 3 or 4 german based players weve been linked with

I think its very clear that despite what has been said previously, the old adage remains.

We wont see any ins till Adebayor, Soldado or any other sponge leaves

Must admit, i'm growing increasingly frustrated with our fan base and the impatience that we haven't signed anyone for a few weeks. Some are behaving like selfish brats, demanding that we should just "annouce a signing already" almost to the point where they dont even care who it might be.

Not sure how many times the likes of Trix, JJ, Grey Fox etc have to remind the rest of us that signing a player isn't as black and white as some seem to think it should be.

We've not been short on ITK by any stretch. The business we've done so far has seemed to be well thought out and careful in its approach, nothing like how we've done things in the past.

I'm delighted with the club this summer and I'm confident that we'll see something happen this week. However, even if nothing does materialise then I'm sure there will be more valid reasons for it other than "oh that bald little bastard is just being tight fisted again". I mean seriously, give us all a break please.

Agree - and for a couple of reasons.

Wages (two of our highest earners), squad places (we're still at 28) and simple cash flow (we've only raised £15m this summer so far - the extra £12m for Soldado would give us exactly enough to be able to afford Berahino and Werner at £20m and £8m respectively)

Villa and Villareal might also start renegotiating terms if they know we've got too many players and have to sell

I'm growing increasingly fustrated with posts of people moaning about people moaning, they're just as frequent as the posts that are moaning this year

No need to get frustrated, everyone is different, just stick to what you think and then don't worry about what others think.

I'm also in the camp that we have had an excellent summer, I much prefer the stability of keeping our best and the behind the scenes work it takes to offload so many poor players rather than a "villa" summer where the fans all have optimism because some new names have come in but ultimately they have lost their best players and unless the new players all hit the ground running, they will struggle.

Suppose transfer frustration caused by having to sell before we can buy is a small price to pay for a sexy stadium.

I don't think people are moaning about us not signing anyone for a few weeks, to say so implies people care about how often we sign players. The reality is of course that people are concerned because the season starts in less than a week.

The best ITK this summer has been the bits about us being more organised than ever with a clear plan and an apparent consensus between board & management. We'd all like big signings wrapped up quickly in an ideal world but having and sticking to the plan, whatever it may be, should be the key if we want to progress.
