Just saw that. If he's right it's all so frustrating. Tough couple of weeks considering the teams we are playing.

We should all be used to this by now as a bulk of our transfer activity doesnt get done until late, which in return might see us lose the first couple of games.
I still think we will get our targets and remaining positive.

Constantly throwing away points at the start of a season is one of the factors on why we always fall short.

The only time I'll believe a "next 48 hours will be busy" ITK post is on 29th August... and even then I wouldn't be convinced!

Since the season we started with an unhappy Modric and Kranjcar in CM we have actually started seasons pretty well, so not true as such. However unless Mason is fit could be a similar scenario.

Central Midfield is definitely my biggest worry.

Levy does a lot of good things, however selling 2 DM's while Mason is injured is not exactly inspired. The sale of Ade and Soldado before signing a striker could also be disasterous if Kane picked up a knock. Basically he is risking the outcome of the season. If we have a poor start and miss out on the top 4 by a couple of points, fiscal stability will look pretty stupid.

Does anyone else read posts in reverse? I go to 'new posts' click on the most recent page then end up reading up the page instead of down the page and go back page after page checking to see if I missed any twitter comments!!
Sometimes though, I get a bit clever and skip back two or three pages and read forward! :pompous:

Grey Fox has predicted big movements in the next 48 hours, so the Senna must have been added to Ade's tea last night.

Gards not entirely convinced on a 48h time frame for activity...

The famous 48 hours shout is out again! It's a brave call and not one I would make! We shall see! #thfc

48 hours would suggest that some deals are 'done' and just tying up loose ends.

Adebayor is possible but as @Trix has said he's totally unpredictable so if it happens in 48 hours, great but if its in a week or two, so be it. A Soldado exit looks more predictable, and I'd expect a striker in about the same time, Possibly Werner as he has the strongest ITK atm - doubt if its Berahino as there's rumours of other suitors to prolong the negotiations.

Nothing recent on Lennon that I can recall, so the only other possibilities of out are youngsters like Grant Hall and Ryan Fredericks who look likely to go.

Speaking about bowel movements; running out of in-form strikers is worse than running out of toilet paper whilst on the loo.

As per similar comment in yesterday's thread; the window shuts on the 1st of Sept at 6 pm. Not being pedantic, just trying to stay clear of confusion. (y)

Doesn't mean we will see the fruits of the labour within 48hrs. For all we know players have been given that as a deadline to decide, but we might not know for sure until a few days after that.

As usual, chill people.

Soldado and Ade out.
Werner in.

That would be my guess for the next 48 hours. Nothing else seems that close.

I think Berahino too. The close stories have been much more credible than the £10m apart one. And with signing Lambert and that CB, they've already been spending the money they are expecting.

Unless we get some ITK that Messi is going to join us, Top 4 is a pipedream anyway. I'd prefer we get our business done in the most cost effective way possible and build a formidable cup team until this stadium gets built.
