If it's quiet it usually means nothing is close to happening. We've had bits of info on Kaboul and naughton so they must be the closest to possibly leaving. If they go hopefully we will get someone exciting come in......or hopefully just someone!
Not necessarily. Stambouli was linked to us on the same day an agreement was reached. We obviously must have been in talks/looking at him for a long time.

Not particularly bothered by the quiet. Been plenty of deals entirely out of the blue in recent years.

We are all used to the quiet but lets not expect anything much if at all, cant see Levy being tempted to buy january is not his thing.

You're probably right, but there are a fair number of January deals available who would improve us.

I'm guessing Delph, Pritch recall, Moreno if Roma finally bite on Vlad, and a forward we've never heard of. Anything additional will be extra.

in what world is Naughton a better defender than Walker ? You're entitled to your onion mate, but i disagree. Naughton is :poop:.

I fully agree with you that Walker is a much better player than Naughton, but I strongly dislike fans calling players that have been with us for some years, shit. As long as they play for my club (and doesn't behave like a ****), I'll support them until they leave.

Agree that we should sell Naughton, but he's proved for us many times that he's a capable defender, and not :poop:.

All good, onions will differ. There's a reason why when both are fit, Walker gets the nod. There's also a reason why Walker got called up to the England squad & Naughton hasn't. Its not purely speed related in my eyes. I always feel safer wit Walker in the back 4 than i ever do with Naughton in there. Doesn't really matter as Naughton will be off soon anyways. Cheers

One very important difference between them is, Walker when beaten by an opponent makes every effort to chase back and win the ball back, while Naughton just jogs behind his opponent, and at times just gives up and decides to take a breather.

The names you mention are fine but we also need to provide kane with a partner even if its from a wide position.
We cant rely on kanes form or fitness surviving right through to the end of the season.

Rabiot (loan no option), Moreno (once Kaboul and Chiriches are gone), and then a deadline day try at Rodriguez or Ings is my feeling

Entirely agree with you, but I think it's most likely to be some fella we've never heard of before. I would be delighted for us to manage to reel in Ings, but I think it's very unlikely.

I'd have certainly agreed with your exact prediction even as of a few days ago, but I'm not sure what will happen with Rabiot. Blanc has given him quite a bit of playing time recently, and I can't reason why Rabiot would want to leave that for a brief spell with us despite the report from France that he and his mother are still pushing for a move for us.

Which means he'll sign nobody. Can't agree the loan but no option to buy, Kaboul and Vlad will be priced out of a move, and the mad rush will inevitably be nixed because the selling parties moved the goal posts and his antiquated max machine broke down just before the deadline approached.

The press are weeks behind on the Rabiot story. PSG don't have a choice now they've checked the small print.

You sure that's bonafide truth? I'd love for you to be right my friend. Our passing is extremely blunted with Mason and Bentaleb both out, and beyond them our chances of succeeding with injury or in cup matches are extremely limited as a result IMO.

Walker got skinned by Zaha before the ball was zipped across the penalty area for Palace's second goal; if you watch the replay Walker doesn't even know which way to face, Naughton isn't the best RB but even he would have got into position to stop Zaha. I would rather have Clyne from Southampton than Walker as he doesn't seem to have progressed from his decent first season.

True, that was out of the blue. Let's hope we get an incoming like that this window. I think we will be linked with a striker we haven't been linked with before. Someone on Mitchell's list we've been told so much about.

Previous winter windows in the last couple of years there's been very little paper reports on transfers involving us. This window it's definitely different as there are lots of stories about, so bits must be going on. Hopefully anyway.
