I'm going to bed. This is all too much.

If we've learnt anything since TwoPointsFromEightGames-Gate, it's that Harry knows what he's fucking doing. He writes like a two year old. He probably doesn't manage his personal finances very well. But by fuck can he organise a group of men to kick a ball about on a field in the best way I have ever seen.

Have a little bit of faith. You all owe him that.

The hysterical IWantIWantIWant rants are fucking ridiculous, and come across as spoilt and unrealistic, both in a footballing context and a financial one. We're in a recession, we're being sensible.

Things to remember about deadline day: 1) we won to go within 5 points of the league leaders, 2) we got rid of a disruptive striker that was here for the cash, 3) we announced a massive regeneration project linked to the stadium regeneration and 4)we trimmed the squad further and only actually disposed of one player.

Things are not so bad as you all make out. They're not "Eden Hazard" good. But they're not "Pavlyuchenko" bad.

Saha. Believe.

Out.

Brilliant! One of few good posts i've read on here all day!

with the prospect of not having Arry sometime soon, or after the Euros i can understand DL not splashing the money all over the place.

unable to see the game tonight due to work, but from what ive read, it sounds as if we might be going in to our hardest month of the season, with little cover at left & right back. not sure we can call Naughton back as im sure i heard on the radio that Norwich have made the move permanent.

A good window as far as i'm concerned. I'm tired of us wasting money on squad players. Either buy for the 1st team or bring the youngsters through. None of the players we let go were good enough for the 1st team. Saha is obvious cover for Adebayor and hopefully won't be needed.

Nelson reminds me of when we signed Naybet. He may never appear in a Spurs shirt but he'll be damn useful in training when we attempt to teach Ade and Defoe what the offside rule is.

These aren't players who are going to clog up the squad and cost a fortune like Bentley, Pav and GDS.

Looking around who the other premiership teams have bought this window i'm not exactly green with envy. I think Fulham have done good business bringing in Pogrebnyak who should thrive in England but apart from that there's no one I think we've missed out on.

Add to that i've witnessed something i'd never expected to see ... an actual bona fide ITK on a Spurs forum. I'm not saying the others are not ITK but in my mind at least there was always room for considerable doubt. JJ however is either Derren Brown or the genuine article. If what he claims are our plans for the summer are true (and on the evidence of this window there seems little reason to doubt him) then there are exciting times ahead.

No matter how much the club will try and dress this up that we went for this and that player, at a time when we could have been on the verge of a proper challenge the chairman and the club have let us down.

the only signings we make are two players who are crocks both consistantly injured and well past their sell by date.

Another chance to improve gone begging and a transfer window that we have came out weaker than we went into it.

Levy your transfer policy and miserly ways will probably cost us our place not only as challengers but to be in the champions league next season.

Well done Daniel i hope you are happy counting our hard earned money while we sit and contemplate what might have been if we had a chairman with ambition.

FFS... some of you people have such short fucking memories. Do you lot remember where we were when H came in? Even then it was 'Shit manager this, Shit manager that' - and now look where we are. Remind me - who was it that hired him? who was it that backed him when he was trying to get us off the bottom of the table? Who was it that trusted him on Scotty, Brad and Ade? Who is it that's gotten us this close to getting a new stadium, not only big enough to compete with the 'big boys', but where we wanted it?

Not Irving Scholar
.

Not Alan Sugar

After a very long fucking period of mediocrity, Daniel Levy has slowly transformed this club into one that we can all be proud of once more, and he certainly deserves more respect than he gets shown on here at times.

Fuck me....

Saha to put 2 past Lpool. Just been watching the goals he scored from that 5-3 Everton v Blackpool game last year again.

And to be quite honest, selling Pav, getting in Saha and Nelsen is a great Janurary window. I never expected us to make any signings this month so pleased about the business we've done! Bit worrying about some of the injuries tonight though.

Regarding talk of a new centre half being lined up - I reckon they're just waiting for Caulker next year, whereupon he'll either go straight into starting or be a bench player next season.

I don't mind the business we've done in terms of Pav and Saha. Saha fit is the better player and better fit for us. If fit...

I'm not bothered about Pienaar; I think he could have been better used but he's not so hey ho, he might as well go.

I don't get Bassong being offloaded when we have two problem CB's and Dawson. Ryan fucking Nelson ? Seriously ? Did this happen ?

I don't understand why we didn't recall Caulker.

The thing that puzzles me most is sending Corluka and Smith off on loan with Naughton already on loan. We have zero back up for an already suspect RB. Very, very worrying as it could mean playing our best CB at RB. The RB position is our weakest link and we managed to make it weaker.

We have seemed to make two positions weaker, CB and RB, which seems really odd in a season when you are chasing a title potentially.

Krasic would have been an interesting addition. Shame.

Don't understand why we didn't go get Zamora for 4m. Bargain and possibly the best business of the window. Would have been the ideal rotation/sub for Adebayor. Works hard for the team and holds up great. Shame.

Whilst a odd window if harry and levy have things in place for the summer, then I go with the choices they have made. Even if the players bought in have left me at least screaming at first going 'what the f&@k noooo'. If what JJ, (star man) said is true, (i dont dowt) then these signings though disapointing make sense. Leaving us in a strong position to secure the signings we want early in the summer.

We almost messed up this summer, only to pull some last day brillance to give us the kick we needed this season. Hopefully, what we have managed this winter, will allow us to bring in who we want in the summer without having to offload to many.

At last, someone else who saw Pav for what he was...absolute gash!

So so true.

Because we can't.

I don't have a problem with the business we have done this window. If I had a slight concern, it would be for Walker's fitness, however I'm confident Jake can do a job there (and Harry seems to be too).

I'm with you on this. Only thing I can think is that he wants to be playing every week as he still harbours hope of going to the Euros.

Nelsen interview from last week. You've got to laugh. The good news being he thinks he'll play football again.

Nelsen said the visit had confirmed that he can expect to play again. Some Kiwi summer sunshine in Christchurch, Marlborough and Auckland has also helped him feel physically and mentally refreshed, "and hopefully I can get back and help the team.''

But he is still taking a cautious approach, saying it is too early to say when he would be able to play at premier league level.

"I played a game against Aston Villa in August when some other players weren't available. It set me back really, long term.

"I just don't want that same thing to happen again.... I want to be sure when I do come back that I won't be doing long-term damage.''

The All Whites' 2010 World Cup finals hero does not feel the injury will prematurely end his career but the 34-year-old quipped: "When you get to my age, you can't guarantee anything!''

Nothing on the OS yet

If it's true that Nelsen's had his contract cancelled by Blackburn, then he has more time to sign on a free.

I think we can recall Naughton back as we refused him to play in the FA Cup

Not if it's a season-long loan to another prem club, where they've paid us a fee.

Absolute disgrace. While not over the moon by his signing, I would have thought the guy deserved a bit of fucking respect from his club. What a horrible fair-well note. I bet we give Pav a better one than that, at least wishing him all the best.

Ours seems OK:

We have reached agreement for the transfer of Roman Pavlyuchenko to Lokomotiv Moscow.

The striker joined us from Spartak Moscow in August 2008 and went on to score 42 goals in 113 appearances.
We thank Roman for his contribution and wish him every success for the future.

I think Saha and Nelsen's professionalism and experience are going to benefit our squad greatly in this tough road ahead, while allowing us to do what we want in the summer. Younger players would have wanted longer and more secure contracts and class players would either frustrate our current team or be frustrated themselves. Good bit of business IMO and really astute signings for our situation.

Disappointed to miss out on Krasic over 20k a week, would have been great cover for Lenny, Bale and VdV all of whom are somewhat prone to picking up knocks

Just read the Everton site announcement for Saha to THFC - what a bunch of tools...

Striker Louis Saha has left Everton to join Tottenham Hotspur.

The 33-year-old had six months remaining on his current deal but has been allowed to move to White Hart Lane.

While Saha has managed 20 appearances this season, he has scored just twice, and is without a goal in 13.

His two goals came in consecutive matches - against Fulham in the league and Chelsea in the League Cup. Those strikes took his tally to 35 in 115 for the Blues.

Saha joined the Club after a torrid spate of injuries put paid to his Manchester United career.

He scored eight goals in his first season, including the fastest ever in an FA Cup final when he notched after just 25 seconds against Chelsea at Wembley.

The following season he looked back to his best as he scored 15 times, the highlight being a double in a 2-1 win over Chelsea at Goodison.

Last term started and ended with injury, but in the middle he was red hot, scoring eight in six games, including four in one match against Blackpool.
