Bringing in a coach from outside England who has a continental view of the game and isn't afraid to take chances on players without EPL experience would be very refreshing. Deschamps is someone who really needs to be considered, in my opinion. Ticks every box imaginable and has the name to excite potential incoming players.

i think it was the Journalist who posted that we were all set to bring in Deschamps before Roy got in the way, why should things be different now? I like the Journilst's info - 3rd to JJ and POTL in my opinion

I don't know who I want to be honest, because the man that I wanted has already gone.

But please, can we not go all delusional scouser here, saying that x person is not good enough for our club or y person is not good enough for our club, and this is gonna set us back yeasts etc etc? Because we just don't know.

A lowly figure like Moyes or Martinez may do wonders, whereas a big name like Klopp or Van Gaal could fail.

It's a new dawn at Spurs, wether or not you agree with what has happened, let's get behind everyone and trust in Levy to do us proud

Blue Spanish eyes
Teardrops are falling from your Spanish eyes
Please, please don't cry

This is just adios and not goodbye
Soon I'll return
Bringing you all the love your heart can hold
Please say "Si, si"
Say you and your Spanish eyes will wait for me

Blue Spanish eyes
Prettiest eyes in all of Mexico
True Spanish eyes

Please smile at me once more before I go
Soon I'll return
Bringing you all the love your heart can hold
Please say "Si, si"
Say you and your Spanish eyes will wait for me
Say you and your Spanish eyes will wait for me
"Dream big because dreams come true."

I was going say Del Bosque, but he extended his contract with Spain recently didn't he?

With so many managers who may be potentially available, I would find very surprising if Levy has decided this earlier he wants Martinez or Moyes. I suspect both names will be on the list but as A&C has pointed out with his post about people mooting possible candidates, there are a wide variety of possibilities. Let's just hope we make a good long-term decision for our club, and the future remains as bright.

I also take it that the PG referred to in the RO section is Guardiola? Who would be a big risk (one I would like to see us take tbh) as he is unproven outside of Barca, which although sounds strange must be considered as (many of) the players we have are not of the same quality.

when team sacks manager surely they have manager lined up.. gerard came out and knew said he knew liverpool were after rodgers from very start and knew he was the one so i wud find it hard to beleieve that levy and those truly itk dont know who they want even when harry was still manager. a manager must be tapped up already. he has to be.

Totally agree with this, signs point to longevity with Levy at the moment, Harry steadied the ship, Levy wants to conquer the sea.
Any long term deal with Harry would have resulted in the same type of media and speculation if England come calling again. I'd rather watch another club go through that than possibly derail our season again.

Also want to say thanks to Ryan - Top lad mate, thanks for all the info. Best of luck with what you do next. (y)

Almost feels like Ryan is leaving us. Should we have a whip round and a card ...we could get him the new shirt and give it to him at his leaving drinks at the Bell and Hare. Where's Hottie see if she can rustle up some nibbles, nothing fancy just some sausage rolls and a couple of sarnies.

I'm sure we will talk to AVB and Peps representatives since they are both out of work. Doesn't mean anything will happen but we will Definately have the conversation.

We will have already spoken to them. There is no reason why we wouldnt have already spoken to representatives of all Managers currently out of work to gauge interest. That includes Guardiola, AVB and Capello.
Levy will not have got rid unless he knows who we are getting IMHO, or at least knows he has two or three very interested Managers to choose from.

This is not always true though. Sometimes decisions are made due to a position becoming untenable. The current indications are not that Harry was let go because we have a new man ready and waiting e.g. the Ramos - Jol escapade, rather because we failed to come to a compromise over his long term future. That leads me to believe we do not have a man lined up at all, but will already have a short list drawn up from our wait to see if Harry left to join England.
