Harry Kane is the first man to score in each of his first four internationals as captain :notworthy:

Scotland 1-0 up.
Good position for playoffs.

Do us a favour Ossie, don't post scores of other games in other threads, on this occasion I happen to be watching both games simultaneously, but generally it's a really annoying habit that ruins things for people who might be recording other games to watch later etc. Or at least put it in a spoiler.

A little better, at least after the goal the team gained a bit of confidence and started zipping it around a bit more fluidly.

Alli and Rashford have both tried to do too much and been a bit wasteful. In this set up with the two off the main striker I think you can only accommodate one of that type of player (Alli/Rashford/Sterling/Ox et al) but with no Lallana to fill the more creative/clever option we're a bit stuck.

Winks had a decent half. Bit quiet to start but grew into the half. Moved the ball sensibly and got about the pitch well breaking up play if needed. Well done boy.

Pundits waxing lyrical about Winksy. Saying same things we've been saying, bringing much needed bit of fucking vim to proceedings.

Winks better than Henderson by far, yet clearly instructed to be the deeper midfielder when he is more creative? Or maybe that is just the way the game has gone.

Still, I would sub Henderson off, been poor, as has Rashford (but he is young). Dele sharp but a bit selfish on instances where he has tried to shoot when bodies are in front of him.

Too many turn and pass backwards plays, poor mentality for me against a team who are there to be played through if you are quick and brave enough. Try it, nothing to lose, but too many playing to not make mistakes (other than Rashford perhaps) and that is how England play, head in sand, ponderous, afraid.

1st half thoughts.

Spurs' boys doing OK.
What's the point of Henderson in that line-up?
Rashford needs to play under Poch, not Mourinho
The FA should be contributing towards Poch's salary.

To be fair they've flashed the score up on the screen about three times already.

Alli really needs to learn to just control the fucking thing. So frustrating, twice in a couple of minutes, Trippier and Winks do well to play to his feet and he tries the drag turn and coughs it up, and there's no need for it. Momentum breaks down and everyone has to recover.

Watched the game the other day and this one so far and I still can't work out if Rashford is a good player or not. Seems to rarely make the right decision.
