I think your post comes across as unnecessarily aggressive and confrontational, I don't know whether it was intentionally so, or not.
This is probably why people appear to have taken umbrage to it.

Racism is a touchy subject and one people understadably get passionate about but I don't think many (or any) posters saw anything wrong in what @Spurger King said.

I don't think his comment deserved a response that reads the way yours does.
Probably just a miscommunication though.

i thought UEFA had procedures in place for these incidents now? Players targeted inform Captain and/or manager, manager informs ref, ref takes teams off, game ends.
How many more times does it need to happen ffs!!??

I don't know but they should do.
These tiny retrospective 'punishments' clearly don't have any affect so maybe they need to actually crack down properly, awarding a 3 nil victory to the abused team in the process.
The trouble from that I suppose, is proving the abuse should the ref be unaware.
It's a tricky situation but in this age, something more needs to be done.

Glad we didn't walk off. Sterling having the final say by scoring and then cupping his ears was a fitting response to the abuse.

Thye'd been doing monkey chants all game, so Sterling's pulled his ears out like a monkey face to say "fuck you".

I personally say fair play. We've seen plenty of evidence that organisations and governments aren't really interested in social reform, so stand up for yourself against the insecure minority of twats.

I didn't even realise that. I assumed he was cupping them to say "and what?".

Thank God that's over now we don't have to listen to the fucking constant moaning in here regarding potential injuries to our players.
Whilst an injury to Kane a week before the opener at the new stadium would be horrific, I'd rather he take that risk as I really want him to smash Rooney's goal-scoring record.

Another great performance last night. The best compliment I can give Southgate and his England team right now is, I actually look forward to, and enjoy watching them play. Something I couldn't say in the past.

Yeah true but @Romulus doesn't come across as one of 'those'.
Just checked back and it must have been a scrolling error as it's been removed.

As for you, you're just a massive spam magnet! :sneaky::troll::angelic::whistle::cautious::LOL:

It's good to see that UEFA have acted quickly to charge Montenegro with several things, from the racist crowd, to fireworks (although I didn't see much of that, certainly not as bad as it usually is there), to having doors locked etc.
Now we just have to wait to see if they're going to dish out a proper punishment!

Talk on LBC has moved onto this subject (away from Brexit) and there is a view that Harry Kane as captain should lead the team off in these instances.
Thoughts?

The manager and captain should certainly be in the ear of the officials.
Maybe a warning over the PA that if it doesn't stop, the fans risk their team forfeiting the game?
I just wonder whether fans that are ignorant enough to behave in such a manner, will be bothered enough to change their ways.

Southgate made it clear they would never walk off the pitch and leave things like this to the officials.. I doubt that stance has changed, although it might now

I think the decision should be solely down to the players being abused. It was happening long before half-time, so I'd imagine (and hope) Southgate and probably Kane would have spoken to the lads at the break and asked them if they feel in the right mind to continue. As I mentioned earlier, the best response to the abuse in an immediate sense was for Sterling to score.

Hopefully told them to take their attempts to antagonise, and use it to smash them. Which we did.

Zero tolerance - start to kick these countries out of the competitions for these behaviours. Tell them to educate their people on racism etc.
