Another LB would surely be excessive, unless we got rid of Davies and Nuno decided Sessegnon is not a LB?
Surely LB is a question for next window, Sess will get conf + cups this season to show that he can make it with us, and Davies is a perfectly capable backup in an emergency.
Totally valid points.
Firstly, I'm not convinved that RS will be playing LB any time soon. I don't think he's had a game in that position for years.
Davies is a great back up (and professional), but fundamentally changes the way we attack down the left when he's playing in place of Reggie. In my mind, we need players who are similar that can seamlessly slot into the first XI when there's an injury/suspension.
Incidentally, I'd still keep Davies because he's a great hard-working utility defender and great for the dressing room.
