What we think the rules are (and this is going to be relevant tomorrow)...

We can only loan 2 players from another premier league club at any one time (we have 0).
We can only loan 4 players in total (from any Association) in a single season (we have 2, hopefully to be 3 shortly).

So we have 2 loan spots this season open, 1 if we get Kulusevski. It doesn't matter if it's prem or international as we're under the 2 prem loans cap.
I may be wrong, but is there not a limit to the number of loan players named in the match day squad?

I tried googling but can't find an answer, something in the back of my head says 5.

So, if we have 6 players on loan, one cannot be named in starting 11 or bench.

Or, I could have completely imagined that and be totally wrong!

Just to add once the loan is done the obligation/option can be added after the window shuts if need be.

That’s interesting. I knew deals could be completed subject to a medical after the deadline, but always presumed the actual agreement between parties had to be fully in place.

Think the fifa ruling on loans is 8 in, but don't know if football associations have there own rules, maybe own league ones as Rob posted

It would be a new agreement.

I appreciate the loan rules information however what I really care about is that we've made one of our incomings a permanent to leave us the additional loan space.
We wouldn't be doing that if we'd gone home and put our feet up all business done. ?

Yeah, thinking about it the initial agreement for the transfer of the players registration would have already been satisfied. So any subsequent changes for a new agreement fall outside of the window. Makes sense.

I'm excited for tomorrow, I expected today to be when all the news starts filtering out but it's still so tight lipped :D
