Although the ITK is all looking promising, can we all try and stay level headed & not meltdown if the Juve boys are the only ones we bring in? There's going to be a lot of shit flying about from Jim White et al. So let's hope some of it sticks, but I'm not going to let myself get too excited just yet.

Cheers for giving us the sweet drug that is hope @Trix @Hotspur88 @Hercules

I know we need more but I'm content with the Juve 2, upgrade in the middle with a bit of creativity up top anything else will be a bonus
I don't think its enough but it leaves us in a better place than before the window.

Doesn't look like a CB is coming in. I'm hoping that's because we are going big in the summer to get someone like Sule or De Ligt but you never know!

Looking forward to tomorrow definitely I think a number of teams will be quite active.

Never said it's enough the summers gonna need 4 or 5 in minimum but for this window I'm content

The Juve two and about 4 outgoings would be good. Fans like a "sensational" signing, or a lot of activity, but we are not a side that needs to try to integrate 4 or 5 players right now And we can't beat top CL teams to a certain calibre of player (e.g. Diaz). A lot of influx, or a 'poster boy' signing (e.g. Dembele) carry a lot of risk and we need a more surgical approach to getting Conte's reign on the right footing.

We haven't seen much of Romero yet and an injury free second half to the season would be a boon. If the Juve two are up to it, we can play 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 effectively. Central midfield would be more solid (with bench options) and support for Kane and Son would also be improved. Right wing/wing back is a concern - dithering on Traore was a shame - but I'd rather make space at this point than be loading up with more risky incomings that could add to the ranks of ineffectual players we can't ship out.

To be fair, I think this has been a decent window all things considered.
I also think we’ll be fine in the summer.
Sounds like there’ll be a lot of options on the market going by what we’re hearing.
I’m also not concerned about the finances too much. I think we’ve got more cash than we like to let on, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.

Why would we want people to think we’re flush?

I also think we’ll do quite a lot of business, and be more flexible/ruthless with how we do that business.

Seems like we’re finally getting to the point of accepting that we will take a hit on some players, and we’ll write it off. Hopefully the loan outs will be decent and we might be looking at decent wedge to kick off out summer with. I do fully believe we spend all incoming transfer revenue on new players. I think the figures mostly support that, too.

There’s been murmurings of Fabio only dipping into what he knows, but given the upgrades we’re getting in the scouting department, and the fact we needed people in in this window, it makes sense for Paratici to deal in an area that he knows will bear some fruit for the time being.

I think we’ll see a broader scope of players in the summer.

I do think there’s change in the air at Tottenham. Just hope the main man is happy to stay and see where he can take it, as I do believe we will back him. We can’t not.

Looking forward to tomorrow, and hoping that whoever comes through the door hits the ground running so we're fit and firing for Brighton and Southampton.

For anyone thinking of donating, I've had a monthly standing order for a while now and it's worth the investment to me - just a few quid a month helps keep this place ticking over.

The best thing so far about this window is moving on the dead wood - something we've struggled with recently, oh, and no Jim White :) We get SSN all day tomorrow over here in the US - so between this site, twitter and SSN I'll be getting my fix of all things Spurs transfer activity (or lack thereov) - gotta feeling it's gonna be quite the ride
*Edit* - I so wanted Ndombele to work, such a talent and such a lazy sod!

I’m sure there will be a new deadline day thread so no on will see this, but I’m looking forward to waking up tomorrow when it’s mid day in the UK and feasting on the insanity.

I'm working from home tomorrow.

What are the best media channels to look out for?

I was gonna stick sky sports news on all day. Are there any better alternatives?

40 pounds donated.

Thanks to Trix, Hercules, Hotspur88 and all the other ITKs for all your snippets of information. Much appreciated. Sorry about all the wallies who do their best to drive you away. Just a sad fact of life that some people are never satisfied!

Thanks also to Rob, A&C, Stoof and all the other moderators for this site and all the work you put in to make this the best Tottenham fan site.??????
Sorry about all the crap you have to put up with.
Here’s hoping for a good productive day tomorrow. Whichever way it goes I’ll still be following Spurs. I can’t help it . I’m TTID!

this thread is so much more enjoyable now without doom sayers! Thanks to all the iTK to continuously share - just mind the numpties who get off on whining about the sun being hot! I'm settling in for an enjoyable day - happy we moving on the deadwood & bringing in some midfield / attacking players but hopeful we spring a surprise or 2 to really give the fans & players a boost for 2nd half of the season! COYS!!
