Prof from COYS on background to Nino sacking
”Discussions about his fit for the club started right after the NLD. They started quietly feeling out possible replacement options after the vitesse/spammers blunder. United game sealed the deal.”
Did anyone not think this was the case? I thought we all know it wasn't a Saturday night special, I'm not even sure Saturday sealed the deal it just brought it forward a week from the international break.

Remember Mourinho said that there are problems that NO coach can sort out. I suspect that some players need to leave to sort this. Let’s see.
I love Mourinho, but Conte is just another level of insanity - he will blast these players off himself, don't worry.

I love these players now have nowhere to hide. If it doesn’t work now at least we 100% know it’s these players. Last 3 managers you could make an argument;

Pochettino- voice went stale
Mourinho- he’s washed outdated
Nuno - never right man

Conte there’s no hiding place he’s just won PL and scudetta with 2 teams that were under performing when he took over. A world class manager at the peak of his powers.

As long as he’s backed by Paratici and levy that’s no problem at all.

Come on though Spurs. Announce it. What are you waiting for?!?!
Waiting out of respect for sending Nuno packing yesterday. This is a game changer for Spurs.

I'm told conte is done
However, in true d1 fashion he/she can’t resist a dig at Levy:
‘Conte will be our manager until feb/ March 2023

levy will give him 3 signings in Jan, will make cl and win a cup this season

come the summer when conte really wants what he needs for a title bid levy will revert to type and say we can’t compete with Newcastle , city etc

once we drop our cl and the title race in early 2023 conte will do one ‘

Never a dull moment with this Club but this appointment is certainly a statement of intent, looking forward to some positive results and a few decent signings over the next few months. As a support we deserve a bit of positivity around the club as the last year or so has been a shambles. COYS ?

PS: I'll make a donation to this place when I get home from work this evening ?

Hard to disagree with that but hopefully Paratici can do a great job at managing levy and Conte

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad if we appoint Conte, but the stupidity of all the wasted time when we (clearly) could have had him in summer with a full pre-season to work with the team is just incredibly frustrating. We all knew back then he was the man for the job.
Agree man, there's nothing we can do about it though. But let's try and look forward shall we, this could be real good.

Levy settles down to play an enjoyable game of 'Football Chairman 3' on his brand new PC.

Decides a challenge is needed, so selects Nuno Espírito Santo with no transfer funds available.

An hour later he thinks "Sod this" and switches to cheat-mode; Antonio Conte and £200m to spend.

Caps it off by cracking open a Stella and getting a Deliveroo in.
