We're not a good fit for Conte but that's a good thing. We're currently a good fit for mediocrity and we need to break the mould. We weren't a good fit for Poch at the time either but he got shot of the lazy players who were holding us back. He transformed our mentality and had the players running through walls for him.

I do hope we get Conte and change the culture of the club. It will be nice to have someone on the touchline who gives a shit. He will be like Simeone constantly shouting at players. The ones who hide will be dropped and then sold. I did feel from watching AON that Jose was a bit soft. He just seemed like a shadow of his former self, probably burnt out from years of intense competition. Nuno on the other hand just seemed so passive. We need the passion back and that starts from the manager.
The guys an animal on the touchline, cant wait.

Levy is getting a lot of stick, but wasn't it Paratici who pushed hardest for Nuno? Don't get me wrong, I want Levy to feel the heat this time and not try to scrimp and save and tell us Steve Bruce is a terrific option, but I don't think he was very keen on Nuno. On the subject of Conte, as before, my main reservation is how long it will take for his wig to explode and he's bound to clash with Levy from the outset.

The thing about Conte is it can go either way
He’ll either be a roaring success or it’ll be a disaster
And for that I’m all in

PEH and Skipp almost certainly. As a manager who likes two crafters in midfield, Bizzarly I think PEH might be the holder, as he isnt a bad passer, while Skipp the more forward ball winning player. The third is an open slot, I'm leaning Lo Celso as he is the most balanced option. He did want Ndombele at Inter and probably will want to see if he can make him into a Pogba at Juve situation. Namely give him freedom and give him confidence, knowing that behind him he has players that'll look after the rest. But he will need to work hard.

I wouldn't discount Dele either. On paper Dele should suit Conte, namely because he as good movement and high level of fitness, things Conte values highly, but that's on paper, reality is a different thing entirely.
If all conte wants is movement and levels of fitness, we could probably get Mo Farah in. It'd be nice if he picks players that can skillfully kick a ball along with the movement.

I really like Levy’s new tactic of employing guest managers, inspired by Have I Got News For You, I reckon. After we bin Conte in March very much looking forward to seeing how Clive Woodward does for a couple of weeks before Sam Allardyce ends the season for us in style.

The really interesting bit will be when William Hague takes charge next season.

Let's hope this goes through. I remember a point in the summer where we had both Conte and Poch and we were all debating and arguing who was better suited to us. We ended up with Nuno...

Look Conte would be good for our squad. They all need a kick up the fucking ass and think the penny has totally dropped on Levy that our squad needs that kick - the only individual who would do that is Conte.

Id still prefer a Potter and build a project but I can see Conte ruffling a few feathers in that squad and that is what is needed.

I do wonder 18 month contract is still weird.

Pretty sure Conte will want shot of Winks and Alli and there will not be yet another reprieve. Hopefully he would have seen enough already. He will want new players and they are the obvious ones to make way.

Do you think Paratici had much of a choice? The managers wanted were either too expensive or didn't want the job. Paratici probably thought the safest option was for someone that knew the PL. But it seems like he's getting his first choice now?
