I don't think it's too far fetched, apart from Lamela and Davies.

3/4 will leave in the summer and 2/3 will come in that's how we roll along with someone starting a " race to the title" thread only for it to be over by November again how we roll.:)

I guess a thread like this was inevitable but there will obviously be some outgoings more importantly there must be some quality incoming and with the stadium all sorted and CL next season I have to believe that the club will have that as it's priority.

Is it though? All of those players other than Eriksen and Toby I would gladly sell. Wouldn't be happy about Lamela going but if adequately replaced I would be good with it.

I have no confidence that we will properly replace a single player that is sold.

Must be surely

Eriksen and Toby wanting to leave
Plus
Waynama
Trippier
Aurier
Llorente
Lamela
Janssen
Davies

Can see 4 new first 11 players next season

Wanyama will depend on whether he can get back to fitness. A preseason could get him back to where he was before.

We will only sell both Trippier and Davies if we buy two new full backs, unlikely. Certainly wouldn’t sell Aurier.

Llorente has been good and if we can get another season out of him then great.

Lamela is unlikely to be sold.

Janssen will be sold based on offers.

Essentially this is FIFA talk. Given how much trouble we have had buying recently we just can’t sell the amount of players you are talking about.

I think this is the problem. If we maintain a zero net spend then selling our full backs, Janssen and other squad players won’t generate the funds to buy who we need.

Won’t get much for Alderweireld so a good fee for Eriksen is our only hope but I would rather we kept him if possible.

Which is why last summer set us back so hard. Now we're lagging behind.

It's too much change at once which is why this past summer was so bad

Yep that’s the problem. Plus I don’t have any faith, like many, that the owners have the gumption for the changes required.

A first full season in the new stadium should be a watershed moment next term, yet it could be a massive damp squib.

This summer is the dot on horizon that I’m expecting nobody (owner or manager) will be prepared for and react in time for the closer it gets.

I need a massive clear out after last night.

Player wise, I fancy us to break the record of no signings for a third straight window. I like records.

I don’t think we should have a massive change of playing staff within just one TW especially when we will be playing in a relatively new stadium next season which might take a while to acclimatize (even for the current players in the squad).

For the summer, I would prioritise upgrades (starting 11) for both LFB & RFB, DM and CM

And (strengthening the bench) a youngish cover for Kane and maybe another pacy AM to rotate with Son/Alli/Moura.

Our CM options and creativity department is just not up to Top 4 standard. We are walking through the season with Sissoko and Winks every game with NO alternatives. I won't blame these two especially not Winks but it is just not enough. It wasn't when Dembele was around either. No real playmaking or creating of chances and nearly never a goal threat. We can not mix things up. Yes we have Wanyama, Dier and Skipp but they are so limited in their offensive contributions either.

So with that being said, that area should be made prime target and we need two players with at least one very established.

We need definitley fresh faces.

I've been saying it for years and I'll repeat it again.

This team desperately needs a dribbler (Zaha etc), someone who'll attract double teams and create space for others.

We all know about the need for a new centre midfielder. If Eriksen leaves, we still need more than one creator in the team.

When the only playmaker isn't playing well everything becomes much harder. For a team in the top four, this isn't good enough.

Lamela is capable of playing quality through balls and has good vision but he isn't consistent enough. Alli is also capable but his technique isn't good enough for him to play at his preferred pace. He misses several through ball opportunities as a result.

Winks is trying to be more aggressive with his passing but we don't have time to wait for this new skill to develop.

Eriksen has too much to do, he's playing poorly, he knows he won't get dropped and the team is suffering because there is no alternative.

I refuse to believe that there are no attainable players in the world that fit the description of what we need.

we haven't got in anyone for the last 2 windows so why are people thinking we ca get rid of half the squad and replaced them with what?
Bale Messi? in all seriousness we many get in 2, 3 at the most, that is why I think it is always important to get at least 1 play per window just to have a fresh face to the squad.
