I'm convinced Edwards will feature heavily in pre season and then get opportunities of the bench once the season kicks in. I don't see Poch persisting with the likes of Sissoko ahead of him.

I had nothing to do recently. so I read all U23&U18 match reports.

I'm very excited by Roles. He's unbelievably good. Play at CM 17 starts with 16 goals and 3 assists. He seems to score for fun at every level he plays.

Was gutted to miss this game because of the Watford match, happy for Griffiths who I rate a lot.

I was looking forward to watching Bilal Kamal of Norwich who is a top talent and I see he did get on the score sheet.

Did anybody go to this match if so what was it like?

Sadly I haven't been training ground in a while, got the Fulham match in the calendar though

Fixtures have been very difficult this year compared to last season.

See the twins watching the Stoke game last week,God help us if both make it at Spurs.

it depends on what you mean by the same path. edwards is more or less where winks was last season - i.e. full-time with the 1st team but never really in contention to play. if next season edwards is where winks is this season then i'm sure he'd love to stay. but if by the same path you mean start breaking through aged 20/21(edwards is a young 18) then i think it's more than likely he'd be off. i know some fans won't like that but at the same time why should he put his career on hold for a chance that may not even come?

it's easy for fans to point at winks and say marcus should be patient like him but then their standing as youth players aren't really comparable. winks was always a good prospect but outside of the spurs youth bubble he wasn't exactly talked about a great deal. if he'd left at the end of his first professional contract because he wanted games then he'd have probably ended up getting picked up by a championship side, maybe, either way he would have been stepping down the ladder so it made best sense for him to stay and give it another year or two. marcus on the other hand has had far more attention and exposure. he's been well known by anyone that follows youth football from the age of 15 and has been talked about as a potential superstar ever since. he's starred at an u17 european championship as one of the youngest players there and his manager has even publically likened him(even if only in terms of style of play) to arguably the greatest player in history. if he were to leave then he'd pretty much have his pick of clubs and he knows that. whilst i'm sure that his aim is to play for spurs, i think his primary aim is to just play .. sooner rather than later.

A few were rescheduled for midweek annoyingly.

I wonder how many clubs have had identical twins play for their first team. The Murphy ones are most obvious ones to me

Edwards seems a few years ahead of Winks in that sense.

My instinct is that as Poch has already taken him out of youth football, we'll be seeing him in the first team squad next season.

Then it depends how quickly he adapts to the PL as to how much game time he gets (Onomah/Winks).

Out of curiosity how long is left on his contract?

Also just remembered that I read that Charlie Owens is at QPR trying to win a contract.

If Owens wins a contract he'll be one of a number of former Spurs playing there.

Grant Hall, Steven Caulker, Mass Luongo, Joe Lumley, Alex Finney, Chris Paul, Brandon Adams, Michael Anastasiou, Aramide Oteh, Geoff Kibaki, Jake Frailing and Nathan Orafu.

Armani Daly, Amon Walton-Owen & Adreas Kommodikis all had spells there recently as well.
