How does everyone rate him now he has had a good part of the season with us.

Love his enthusiasm, and thought he dealt with some huge media pressure really well. Things I liked in particular, the Lloris/Friedel situation, handled it exceptionally. Defoe is getting better, always thought he could be a world beater, and with AVBs coaching seems to getting there. The tactics whilst not working always how he wants, do show potential and have been coming off recently very well. The victory at Utd was awesome. Even the Ade and Defoe situation I'm happy to see he is trying two up top, might not be working, but shows he is flexible and won't just stick to his formation.

Comes across really professional, and at his age will only get better i hope.

Always wanted him in and was prepared to be patient. Think he's conducted himself superbly so far, in every regard, and most importantly we are starting to see signs of his coaching taking an affect, the high line, the improved pressing up the pitch and the overall work rate off the ball.

If he's backed, within reason, sky's the limit.

As a bloke I love him. He's a brilliant figure head for the club, intelligent, smartly dressed, doesn't say anything to disrespect the club or it's followers.

I think the league is distorted though if I'm honest and I can't rate him until the end of the season. At half time yesterday we were 45 mins away from being 7th with the Gooners having a game in hand. As it was, we blew away a poor Villa side and are now 4th on goal difference. I'm still getting splinters in my arse at the moment, although the signs yesterday and the performance to go with it were very good indeed.

I've been so delighted by the fact that he seems to show a lot of affection and respect for the club and us fans. It might all be media training, but I appreciate the effort.

Overall, i'm cautiously very pleased. This season so far has been a bit of a patchwork - good spells here and there, linked together with the awful and the oddities. However, it looks like things are slowly knitting together in terms of what he's trying to get from the team and i'm feeling increasingly confident about our performances and his ability to manage successfully (as an example, the late goals thing: Problem? Let's think of a solution! Lovely)! A little bit of transfer backing and I think we're looking very good.

It wasn't that many games ago that plenty of people were telling us that he's a massive ****

As is the way with these things, that's quietened down right now, but it'll be back, regular as clockwork, as soon as we hit a bad patch again.

I still think the same as when he got the job, we need to show some patience and give him time to impose his methods on the club as a whole. Personally, i'd like to see him given at least three seasons in the job. And maybe one or two players of his choosing while Levy is at it. If I had my way he'd be given even more time than three years. Its about time we had someone in place long term.

I think we'll have a few more downs yet, but also that we are starting to slowly see the seeds he's planting come to fruition. IIRC most of SC seemed to think that 5th/6th would be where we finished this season so we're on course to match a lot of posters expectations.

I like him and hope he is very successful with us for a very long time.

However a few issues still irk me,

we struggle to break teams down - especially at home. I hope personnel changes in January help this.

we are too cautious in the last quarter of the game and I would prefer to attack than to try to hold onto what we have - yesterday was excellent in that regard and I hope that is the standard now and not returning to conceding late goals.

he needs to know when not to over complicate instructions as British footballers in general are not very bright and ours are no different - I am not saying to be as lackadaisical as our previous head coach / manager but just not to confuse certain players too much.

The positives far outweigh the negatives though, even though the British media ( Talksport and The Sun in particular ) still don't rate him and view him still as a figure of fun and ridicule.

I just hope he's given time and backing. Will that mean he's successful? God knows. But at least we can say we gave him a fair crack of the whip.

I do appreciate his media interviews. Comes across well and speaks eloquently about us and the opposition. A refreshing change from Harry.

I'm not jizzing my pants just yet, put it that way.

I really hope he's the right guy, but only time and results will tell. Crystal balls are just that - BALLS - until anything actually comes to fruition.

We are 4th in the league after having key members of our squad missing throughout the entire season. The guy has weathered the media storm and done well with a squad that wasn't really of his choosing (if itk and other sources is correct). On one hand, for me this is very impressive but on the other hand, I'd have loved to see how well he'd done had he been given free reign on transfers and backed with big money. Given what he has been given, I think he's done well and am I really pleased. However, what has really impressed me from AVB is the off-the pitch stuff. The guy seems pure class to me; passionate, intelligent and respectful of Tottenham Hotspur and our great traditions, wanting to win every trophy we are part of. For me it seems though AVB feels lucky and honoured to be managing our great club, and I find that very important (I suspect the opposite was a big factor in some of our fans not liking our previous manager). Overall I am delighted to have AVB as our manager, I just wish he'd be backed as I'm confident he'd take us to glory if he was.

It's still early days for me but I'm definitely warming to the guy.
If he gets us Champions League at the end of the season with the limitations imposed by Levy then I'll be very impressed.

^^^ Def agree with this ^^^

When you look at the players we haven't had this season (Mod, VDV, Parker, Benny, Ade) then he's done very well knitting together a new batch of players and still have us in the top four however we don't look anywhere near as effective or dangerous as we did last year (because of the above players missing).

My one negative is the way he likes the defense to play the ball around. I prefer this to lumping it up field but we're too slow in giving it to the midfield and seem to crumble as soon as teams apply pressure / close them down

After half the season we're roughly where we want to be and that's without AVB having been backed financially fully. If we're able to strengthen in January I'm confident he can keep us in the top 4.He needs to keep the players progressing and if that happens as it has in the last two months then all will be rosey.

He needs the backing of the chairman though.

To me he looks like a guy who looks forward to coming into work. Has a great work ethic, he has a good team around him who seem to know their stuff. If and when he is given money and he moulds his own team then I believe he/Spurs will go further. I like his style and he is a breath of fresh air.(y)

I never wanted him

He's currently doing a much better job than I thought he would

Needs our support and the Chairman's in the next 2 windows and needs to be given 18 months minimum, whatever the situation
