Must say I worry about our front line without Son.

This was my biggest takeaway from that, and it was the fear even prior to kick off. No one else really even has the hunger for the goals like Son or the quality to match. Well I think Richarlison has the hunger at least but lacks the quality if he's not being fed adequately. Johnson and Kulusevski both really lack that killer instinct, even if you ignore the level of quality.

I feel like the biggest hope is to get better balls into Richarlison but the danger will need to come from other areas too.

Gotta swap Johnson and Kulu around to stretch the pitch. Get some decent crosses into Richy to attack. Having them cut in to their stronger side is slowing it down.
Kulu on the left of not an option.
No pace and can't come inside onto his right.
Fine him playing there from a central starting position but not high up as a WF

Richarlison needs tap ins, any other scenarios he seems out of his depth . Others have to take responsibility, kulu looks uninterested and the tempo is too slow . They had the best chance that half .

Getting bored saying it, but we lack match winners as much as another CB.
I think it’s easy to forget how good Son is. Not just by what he does with the ball but his movement out of possession. Without him our front three look incredibly average. I do think they are capable of more but even so we clearly need another quality attacker. But we’ve known that for a while.

Surely we’d be better with Skipp 6 and Benters 8. I don’t mind Skipp but he always looks a bit fish out of water in advanced positions.

Some folk on that silly app people use to spout nonsense are moaning about Davies in the first half, have I been watching a different game? I thought he was fine.

Offered a good chance for Richarlison. Though that counts as nothing tonight
TBF us not playing well has at least stopped all the wanky I hate this or that commentator/pundit bollocks or comparing a decision or non VAR to one that didn't go our way 16 weeks ago and it's the players taking the licks.

I agree with this. Bentancur can create and score when more advanced. His press also was pretty effective.

Is there anyone on here with a FA coaching badge, to let me know what are Skipps attributes ?
that puts him central midfield for a club like Tottenham

please, please tell me what coaches have seen that got him to where he's at, in his playing career ?
I think at youth level where the quality isn’t as high, his tenacity and energy would’ve offset has lack of technical skills but yea I am surprised he’s got this far into our team and squad because technically he’s really so far off it.

Did he come through under Mouriniho? If so that could be why he’s continued to get a chance because Skipps profile does lean more towards a physical low posession large spaces counter attacking defensive side hence why Conte picked him quite a bit, but for a proper Tottenham team who want to pass and move and be creative he is a terrible fit.

The Hubris of the Spurs fan strikes again

'hopefully we'll go into a 3-0 lead early so we can give the subs some minutes' and that was from more than one person too.

haha :D
I definitely said that I hope Mickey gets some minutes before United....didnt mention us winning ........I was more thinking that we will need him on today when we get another injury....

Genuinely feel like we're playing with 10 men with skipp out there.

Just doesn't do anything.

Think Richarlison & Dejan are the ones who need to step up significantly. Skipp hasn't been great either but Richy and Dejan have struggled all game to make it stick. Brennan's decision making hasn't been the best either.
Agree with that, Richy and Deki had poor halves too and BJ had some great moments but poor end product.
