The ref pulled out a yellow card and then a red.5 live said straight red in their round up after the game. Where did you get the confirmation it was a 2nd yellow?
mate --- nowt to do with his playing career! He loves us and is a huge fan.....I was nervous until the 91st-92nd min!
Sanchez was a bit wobbly. He seemed to get caught of position a few times. Dortmund targeted him by planting high balls down the centre behind him.Just got home, what a fantastic result and brilliant goals by Kane. Night only tarnished somewhat by the fact I missed the Son goal as it took 20 mins to get through the bloody turnstiles!!
Aurier looked great, they all did in fact.
If we get anything in Madrid i'll do any forfeit you like that involves me stripping naked, a buttplug, two leeks, an albino pit pony, a feather duster, a can of squirty cream, one Romanian weightlifter dwarf and a gas mask.

I know that one time Sanchez was the only CB actually in the right position.Sanchez was a bit wobbly. He seemed to get caught of position a few times. Dortmund targeted him by planting high balls down the centre behind him.
Exactly this, that's my biggest plus point from tonight, the fact that poch switched the game plan up in order to win the one off game! We've had too many big games especially in cups under poch where maybe we've beeen slightly tactically naive and been outdone by a more pragmatic team
But today was a brilliant tactical performance from poch and shows he is clearly learning alongside our young squad, scary!
Completely agree. It was particularly impressive considering that, if I'm not mistaken, it was the first time we had set up to play on the counter under Poch.Dunno why but some of the punditry on the game annoys me.If this was Athletico Madrid vs Dortmund, people would be saying what typical strong Athletico performance.
Instead I've heard some pundits criticize our defensive work, insist Dortmund are still clearly the better team. Without stopping to think if our defensive work was bad what does that make Dortmund?
Ultimately we rode our luck on occasion. But apart from the offside decisions they had only one serious chance which was from the corner, when we were already 3-1 up. The other chance was the Pulsic one where he stretches but cant make clean contact. That was a half chance at most because of pressure he was put under, it would of taken an incredible ball to put in a position where Pulsic could get clean contact.
We defended well, very well largely. We created more chances almost all of which pretty clean cut. Dortmund were not actually all that good. For all the pretty passes they were not that effective at breaking us down and were so exposed at the other end. Tactically I think we did very well, and I think today we've learnt a new way to play against a certain kind of team.
Mauricio: "It means more than three points. To build our confidence, trust and feel at home at Wembley is so important."
Poch could not have said this any better. This wins gives us a plan B going forward.
Hopefully we win against Swansea this weekend - then we can bury the 'Wembley voodoo' for good.
I am still wiping it off! Glad to be proved wrong thoughAgreed. A lot of people who go on about how Davies isn't good enough have egg on their faces after the last few games. He's class.
They seem a bit like Liverpool to me - good at the press, great at attacking; and if you only think in terms of defending against that then you play into their hands. But they don't get much practice at defending, and if you do manage to attack them then it turns out they're shit at that part of the game. It's how you attack them that's key - hard to beat them at their own game - I liked the early counter-attacking and the rope-a-dope tactic of letting them punch themselves out before taking control later on.
