In our new trophy cabinet can we put a league table up to show our top 4 seasons? Would have loved that trophy. All set for Utd to win it now. They do what they do, we fail as we do far too often.

Least we never fail at failing we can be consistent with that at least.

However poor the opposition it would have been difficult when there is a referee as biased as that one was. We must just let this highly unpleasant little team have its day and move on. It is crucial we do not react in the way we did after the Chelsea game last season.

Great passion from the lads tonight. Maybe a bit too fired up in the end. Totally dominated the game but wasteful with chances again. I can't believe our defence has such a good record and yet still concede the softest of goals though. I'm not sure how we haven't won tonight. Regardless of the aggregrate result I could have lived with 2-1 or 3-2 even but just should have at least won.

The ref was shocking though and I can't blame the players for getting booked complaining. They were clearly hot headed tonight when a bit of composure was needed. A more calculated approach and we could have scored several. No excuse for Alli though, that was a shocker. Such a shame since I thought he has been much better with discipline this season.

I hate when they keep mentioning this Wembley curse but it sure feels like it again tonight.

Second half mentality was great, untill Dier shit his pants.

No it wasn't. Any decision that went against Spurs resulted in a player having a tantrum and getting booked. That's not a good mentality to have when you're down to ten men. We completely lost our heads out there.

Poor. Once the goal went in (Wanyama) we lost all urgency and tempo. From there on in it went wrong.
Late on Eriksen seemed to run out of steam, and just kept pumping the ball aimlessly into the box. Kane gets tunnel vision too.
Son did at least give us some extra zip.
Dier does not look the same player at CB, considering how well he did at DM last year.
Once again, we seem so reliant on the fullbacks to provide the outlet, and Davies looks lost.
Ffs Eriksen ran his fucking heart out to generate enough chances to win five games of football.

ran out of steam... ya think?!

At least I copied your post this time so you can't delete it I get accused of lying. I'm not implying you have an agenda I'm clearly stating it. If you can't see Son dragged us back into that game you've got a serious issue you need to sort out.
I replied to that post in full detail. Your silence was deafening.

As for Son's performance, please explain to me how one comment about a poor finish infers I thought he wasn't good when he came on?

Is this where we finish 4th and united win Europa....what's the rule this season, would we be in or out of Champs league in that scenario?

Funnily enough i thought we would score a third but the dembele substitution took the wind out of our sails.

That is exactly what I saw too.
We had so many dead cert sitters the players should hang their heads in shame. At one point Kane actually blocked someone's shot that was going in.

We can't even beat an 8th place Belgium team with close to a full strength squad. What's the point trying to aim for champions league.

Out thought by Gent. Let that sink in. We're praising Gent for being clever, that European powerhouse

Out thought? Really? Did you watch the game? We had 25 shots to their 5. I know which team bossed the game. Our finishing was off today. That is all and that is football.

Fair play Gent and their manager - they out-thought us even if they didn't outplay us.
Good luck to them.
Us?
Wembley has been rubbish for us. That's a fact. Look how good we have been at the Lane this season.
Teams up their game against us at Wembley.
That said - we were better than them tonight - but missed a series of sitters.
Dele Alli - has a lot to learn and hopefully has learnt a lot from this.
We do miss Lamela - BIG TIME.

Our 'New Wembley' record?
W2 D1 L9

Jezuz - that is bad.

Me? I think we're just warming up, getting ready to lift the FA Cup at Wembley - I really do.
We now have NO EXCUSE to get angry and finish this season strongly. The players have to want it - and I believe they do and I most certainly believe MoPo does.

No we haven't really. We went down to 10 men fairly and we didn't score the goals needed or be tight defensively to win.

Unlucky in the sense we probably should have had a freekick before the red
So had to play what? 50 Mins with 10 men. 65% possession with 10 men 20 odd shots at goal.
Own goal from a corner which wasn't a corner
They had one shot on target all game and again I think Winks was possibly fouled before they broke away, they didn't replay it though sadly.

So yes I would define that as being unlucky in this match.
