Definitely need to keep Bale though to give us that cutting edge player, will free up so much space for our other players too.

Bale is the x factor.

While this is more than true, I reckon that Lennon and Soldado could strike up a very good partnership. Soldado's qualities inside the box combined with Lennon's abilitity to get in there with the ball will probably get us quite a few goals this season.

Lennon is on borrowed time IMO, if would get 18 million for him, then cash in now. I think thereis every chance that Towsend wil take his place this season.

good game... very competitive... perfect warm up for our first league match next week. team seems to be look sharp and gelling well... Dawson and Kaboul looked pretty good in the 2nd half, so everything seems good.

excited for the coming season, and i hope one way or another, we get the bale situation settled.

Some good signs there and I think that's all you can ask for in pre season, these games are played at nowhere near full tempo or effort and IMO don't tell you that much about what the real games will be like.

Ok, so, could've been better but overall i'm positive. Nice debuts for the noobs, good tempo for the first half, some lovely movement and we looked dangerous. Fizzled out a bit but to be expected with all of the subs I spose.

• Townsend will be excellent this season
