Yeeey, another sunday game..

"Mauricio Pochettino's side have lost three of their last four home matches in the league, with those defeats all following a Europa League fixture on the Thursday beforehand. Tottenham lost six of their 12 league games following a European tie last season."

Tired legs, subdued atmosphere due to the early sunday kick-off.. Yeah, this isn't going to be pretty. Still, I think (hope) we can get a result.
At least we get home before it gets dark:)
Actually to be honest I feckin' hate 4:00 Sunday kick offs.

All right, all right, Ade's recent displays do not warrant him a starting position, but most are acting as if he has turned into Andy Booth or Grzegorz Rasiak over night. Ade has a proven track record with us, and who knows, (maybe Sherwood:pompous:) he can still turn it around...
Booth and Rasiak played to their limitations but gave 100% effort, so you are right, Ade is yet to meet that standard!

Does anyone know if there are any pubs in the Maidstone/Medway area showing this game?

Absolutely this. I'd definitely drop him from the team for this week and not start him regularly until he showed signs of playing his way back into form through substitute and cup-game appearances, but an on-form Adebayor offers us more than either Soldado or Kane (who I'd be starting every week at the moment) does, so I don't know why people are so keen to ditch him forever.

That said, Kane is pissing on both Soldado and Adebayor at the moment, so the shirt should be his to lose until further notice.

Their long ball physical style of attack may actually suit our defence (not least the likes of Fazio/Kaboul) instead of having to face a team with speed to get beyond our defensive line on the counter or to drag our fall backs around and exploit the space they so freely leave

Given our traditional form following a Europa match I will be happy with any form of win regardless of how we play against Stoke - I don't care if they dominate us and we win via the freaskiest of own goals

We just need to get some points on the board and pull away from the mid/lower table teams and begin to reestablish ourselves as a team challenging for the European spots this year

Stoke are nothing speical but the fact they beat Man City shows what they're capable of and its a game I fear we will drop points in so this week regardless of how we play I want and we need all 3 points by hook or by crook

A win would be amazing. I think that would also be worth more than just the points. It might start to instill a little belief/togetherness.

I hope Kane scores if he starts/plays and I hope he keeps Adebayor out of the team for as long as possible.

It'll be a tricky game regardless and just because it's Stoke, and I dislike them profusely, I don't care if we win in the shoddiest manner. A last minute deflected row Z Townsend strike in off the bar via two Stoke players and the Goal Line decision system to make the call after the ref didn't see it would do me. Plus, a win into international break is always good.

She's young enough for you to tell her that there is no such thing as Tottenham Hotspur and everything she thought you said about them was all a dream.

This is a big game for the Mason/Capoue combination in the middle of the park. Paulinho and Dembele DOMINATED Stoke last year at home in one of our best performances last season (where we played with 2 strikers and 2 CMs).
