Dempsey =:poop:
Walker =:poop:
Home support =:poop:
AVB's team selection =:poop:
Levy leaving everything to the last minute =:poop:
Levy barely spending anything =:poop:

AVB's team selection is massively hindered by injuries.

Hopefully Ade, will remain injury free until January then we can all hope for a new striker, which levy fails to deliver.

Levy has done a great job for spurs, but he is seriously fucking up his own efforts, by trying to the business winner... Take a small hit Levy and sort the fucking squad out.

Must. Laugh. And. Not. Jump. Out. Of. window.

Highly predictable shower of shit: no chemistry; no guile; no will; no clue.

Nope, it's not irrelevant moron, its exactly the point. Our old manager who we sacked despite the fact he established us as a top 4 club has been swapped for somebody who is rapidly proving (once again) that he cannot manage a top 4 club despite having all the resources at his disposal.

Highlighting poor form at various points in the season ignores the bigger and far more important picture of where we finish at the end of it.

Consider yourself schooled.

Well you've certainly got a bee in your bonnet. Firstly, we have never been established as a top four team. We finished there twice. We established ourselves as a top six team who will challenge for the top four but that was started under Jol. Whether or not AVB has all the resources at his disposal is also highly debatable. Kaboul, BAE, Dembele and Parker all injured, Sandro went off and Adebayor isn't fit and has had no pre-season to speak of. Three of our best players left last season and two of them have not been suitably replaced at all leaving a gaping lack of creativity in the team. I'd love to see how AVB's tactics and formation worked with Modric and Van der Vaart in the team. I suspect better than they did today, but by all means don't let that cloud your judgement in any way.

I'd actually say that given that fourth last season wasn't enough to qualify for the Champions League the bigger picture is just how we managed to not qualify having been ten points clear of Arsenal in February. Thinking we did enough by finished fourth is just being naive and sticking your head in the sand. I suppose you could consider February onwards as various points, although more accurately it was one point of the season, just a pretty huge one at that. If Harry hadn't taken his eye off his job, we'd have finished third.

Harry picked up Ramos' mess and only finished eighth with it in his first season. We were a mess at the end of last season and AVB had to pick that up. Unfortunately there isn't a switch somewhere at WHL that will instantly restore the team to how they were in the first half of last season.

Now where's my chalkboard and pointer?

I suppose what I was trying to highlight was that our league position hasn't reflected the performances that we've put in this season
Fair enough. Sorry for being facetious, the amount of knob-jockery in this thread is getting to me.

I think AVB has been stitched up by having any semblence of a creative player sold off in front of him, and I have sympathy for him and am prepared to give him time, but he isnt helping himself with some of these selections.

Why are we playing Friedel?
Why is Vertonghen still out at left back?
Why are we playing Huddlestone?
Why are we playing Dempsey?
Why are we playing Sigurdsson?
Why are we still starting with Defoe?
Why, when we do need a goal, do you not try Ade and Defoe?
Why not try Falque? I'd like to see Carroll get a chance too but that last sub was wrong.

That was just appalling today. No passion, no energy, no ideas, no off the ball movement. Fuck sake.

Were still joint in 4th, with 4th bieng the best we will do

BUT

We have become a boring team, in complete contrast to last season, I have a real lack in confidence in the team, im glad we now have two tough away games. Lets see if we can get some pride back

Lol, splitting hairs again. He had everything at his disposal that the previous manager had. Predicting your obvious retort of 'well, he didn't have Modric or VDV'. Yes, this is true but he did have the money from their sale which has been wasted on Dempsey and Sigurdson. So who is to blame here?

You are.

Poor defending for the goal. Watson totally unmarked. Gallas not picking up. Totally preventable. We lacked in many areas today, creativity, leadership, poor choices with subs. Slow out of defence trying to prise Wigan out of position just made us look too slow which made life comfortable for wigan who held their shape well.

ARE YU

ARE YOU INSANE!!!!! Friedal is the reason we only lost 1 - 0. He was immense today. Seriously those criticising Friedal today need to put their crack pipes down.
Friedel was also at fault for not coming and getting the ball for that corner. he never commands the area.

I think we all agree that was shite!
Same old problems...
CentreBack Pairing....Please just drop or sell Gallas - like Friedal...time to move on.
Demspey just looks very ordinary.
We don't create like we used to.
Sigs looked better today but it's the final 3rd we lack creativity, options and direction and that's the bit I hate - that's not my Spurs.
Defoe up front on his own...it's worked a few times but in general it doesn't.
But for all the doom and gloom - fans should remember we're missing key players and I'm sure AB doesn't have the team he wants out there. It'll take time and we should give him time.

Will he ever get the team he wants though, or will Levy fuck him over with a load of shit instead of any of the players he wants?

Siggy and Dempsey for VDV and Modic. Da. Fuck.

That was really depressing. If you don't have creativity in midfield you have to bring on Ade. At least he can pass and link up. Sig and Dempsey look lost and forlorn. Awful.

I agree with some of this, but we most certainly did need to spend the money on Lloris as Friedel is old and nothing but solid. It falls to AVB to pick the side, and currently Lloris should be playing, Adebayor should be starting with Defoe being used in his best role which is as an impact sub and Vertonghen should be played at CB.

Wise up and try to understand this real simple shit right here

1. Ade is just back from injury today after NO preseason

2. The GK position is currently the least of our on field problems

3. Tactics mean fuck all if half the first team is injured and your stuck with lazy thick ****s to replace them

I hope AVB, despite his setbacks, turns out to be a brilliant manager for Spurs. I hope he is a SAF in the making. He is young enough to improve. Hopefully he figures things out and gets things back on track, and Levy should back him to help make things happen.

No worries dude :)

I think AVB has been unlucky with injuries so it'll be interesting to see what happens when the players come back

However, he hasn't helped himself with some of his team selections

We do all need to be patient though
