Looking on the bright side, we haven't turned into creatures from 'The Walking Dead'. [squelch] ..... Cancel that.
This needs to be the team next game. Needs a kick up the arse.
Lloris
Walker Caulker Vertonghen Naughton
Sandro Carroll Falque

Nope, it's not irrelevant moron, its exactly the point. Our old manager who we sacked despite the fact he established us as a top 4 club has been swapped for somebody who is rapidly proving (once again) that he cannot manage a top 4 club despite having all the resources at his disposal.
Highlighting poor form at various points in the season ignores the bigger and far more important picture of where we finish at the end of it.
Consider yourself schooled.
Fair enough. Sorry for being facetious, the amount of knob-jockery in this thread is getting to me.I suppose what I was trying to highlight was that our league position hasn't reflected the performances that we've put in this season
Lol, splitting hairs again. He had everything at his disposal that the previous manager had. Predicting your obvious retort of 'well, he didn't have Modric or VDV'. Yes, this is true but he did have the money from their sale which has been wasted on Dempsey and Sigurdson. So who is to blame here?
Friedel was also at fault for not coming and getting the ball for that corner. he never commands the area.ARE YU
ARE YOU INSANE!!!!! Friedal is the reason we only lost 1 - 0. He was immense today. Seriously those criticising Friedal today need to put their crack pipes down.
I think we all agree that was shite!
Same old problems...
CentreBack Pairing....Please just drop or sell Gallas - like Friedal...time to move on.
Demspey just looks very ordinary.
We don't create like we used to.
Sigs looked better today but it's the final 3rd we lack creativity, options and direction and that's the bit I hate - that's not my Spurs.
Defoe up front on his own...it's worked a few times but in general it doesn't.
But for all the doom and gloom - fans should remember we're missing key players and I'm sure AB doesn't have the team he wants out there. It'll take time and we should give him time.
Well you've certainly got a bee in your bonnet. Firstly, we have never been established as a top four team. We finished there twice. We established ourselves as a top six team who will challenge for the top four but that was started under Jol. Whether or not AVB has all the resources at his disposal is also highly debatable. Kaboul, BAE, Dembele and Parker all injured, Sandro went off and Adebayor isn't fit and has had no pre-season to speak of. Three of our best players left last season and two of them have not been suitably replaced at all leaving a gaping lack of creativity in the team. I'd love to see how AVB's tactics and formation worked with Modric and Van der Vaart in the team. I suspect better than they did today, but by all means don't let that cloud your judgement in any way.
I'd actually say that given that fourth last season wasn't enough to qualify for the Champions League the bigger picture is just how we managed to not qualify having been ten points clear of Arsenal in February. Thinking we did enough by finished fourth is just being naive and sticking your head in the sand. I suppose you could consider February onwards as various points, although more accurately it was one point of the season, just a pretty huge one at that. If Harry hadn't taken his eye off his job, we'd have finished third.
Harry picked up Ramos' mess and only finished eighth with it in his first season. We were a mess at the end of last season and AVB had to pick that up. Unfortunately there isn't a switch somewhere at WHL that will instantly restore the team to how they were in the first half of last season.
Now where's my chalkboard and pointer?
You are.
I agree with some of this, but we most certainly did need to spend the money on Lloris as Friedel is old and nothing but solid. It falls to AVB to pick the side, and currently Lloris should be playing, Adebayor should be starting with Defoe being used in his best role which is as an impact sub and Vertonghen should be played at CB.
