He's young, I'm optimistic for his future, and he could be a key player for us for years to come - so that's what it would take to stop me feeling dejected that he'd left. It's nothing to do with 'market valuation' or what other clubs might realistically pay.

I'd still take 7 for Bentley.......Even if Modric, Lennon and VDV were injured for the season. He plays for himself.....and not very well. I'd sooner play Silvie on the right. Much better viewing.

My valuations are high for players who are 'untouchables' and as such I see as core to us competing for trophies over the next few seasons. Unlike Berbatov, Carrick, Keane etc these players can not under any circumstances be sold to rivals in the EPL. If we had to sell them their value would have to be ridiculously high.

There are some quite low values for players I see as fringe squad players. This is because I want them gone to bring in money for a top notch striker / centre half.
