We are too good for a player like Shane Long

I love how 6 people disagree with me on that. At some stage you have to forget about the past and look at current club stats. How do you all not get that? How long can you judge a player on old stats for a different team. It doesn't make sense.

That would make Torres look much better otherwise.

The same Shane Long who missed 3 1 on 1's last season against Arsenal in one of the final matches. The same bloke who has played five seasons in the premiership and averaged 5 goals a season. The same bloke who has played for Reading and Hull and hardly a standout player. He's on a bit of form at the moment but who knows how long it will last?

I think we're too good for him personally. For a team pushing for a top 4 position that's not the sort of striker we should be looking for
