He failed with his targets in the last, 3 windows.
We lack a creative midfielder and a power forward.
But we have a new shiny training ground and a world class sainsbury.
Sold two world class players and got. In imshitson and dempsey.

To be fair he's got a blinding deal for us on Nectar points.

Hasn't this been done in here a few times already...

- Levy has kept us stable financially (which is important).

- It was not his choice to sell Modric, he fought tooth and nail to keep him last summer when it would have been far easier to sell him. It's wasn't his fault Harry didn't have as good a season as he should have and got us 3rd spot.

- Levy did the deal to get Adebayor even though the wage issue seemed to be quite a difficult issue.

- Levy got us Dembele from Fulham who was class for us before his injury and he will be again once he is back (arguably he could turn out to be more suited to our needs in the prem then Modric was too).

- He bought us the French no. 1 keeper.

- He bought us Sigursson (sp) who scored 7 goals in 19 games for Swansea last season, who may also prove to be a much better player once he has Ade regularly in front of him rather then Defoe.

- He tried to get us Moutinho, granted he fucked up a little by leaving it too late but who's to say he won't try again If he had of got him there'd be a lot less Ant-Levy sentiment on here.

- He got us Vertoghen who is FUCKING CLASS.

- He sold VDV who at 29 years old was also getting a little injury prone (German league not as physical as the English one, Mrs VDV has also had here health problems and wanted to go back to Germany).

- The only real cock up has been Dempsey and most fans on here were quite happy when we got him, you win some you lose some.

- He may also have done a cheeky deal for Fryers come the January transfer window, so that will be interesting to keep a look out for.

- He has an AWESOME first name.

If I had a pound for every time someone started a thread like this I'd be richer than Levy.

At least we have the 3rd best balance sheet.

can we get champions league with that.. maybe people at spurs think that , in fact, they do i think.. they seem to know fuck all else but like i say a million times on here.. its all about the money with those in power at spurs.. if we have a team that is going well all the better to build it up into a monster before it falls on its arse a while later.

well like jamie redknapp, yes i know he is a bellend but he was right !! he said adeabyor was a great loan signing last year but to buy him was bordering on well dodgy deal but fact no top striker wanted to join us and we were not prepared to spend money on one , we will always bite at that deal.. but what we got today is adebayor all over..

he is best what we got and absolute donkey and light years ahead of defoe its not funny.. but i woudl still sell him if given chance along with about 12 or 13 others!!

Lol, I'm mystified as to how people still believe Moutinho "fell through".

I don't believe for one second Levy tried anything, just like all the times we failed to sign a striker in the last 8 windows. He's made you think he's a hard bargainer and he's good for the club, but he's not much better than anyone else and has proven of late, he is clueless. Why get Dempsey and "save" on another player, when, if you fail to get CL/challenge for cups/even do well you make less money anyway? Stupidity.

Stop being strung along.

Well said. We needed a striker when in champions league and made a late bid for Aguero.

We needed a striker to push us forward last season when we was third and sort of challenging for top spot, does he back the manager? no! We sign Saha an Nelson.

Levy has taken us a few steps backwards instead of forward.

Look at how far arsenal have got with a lovely nice balance sheet!

This is very true many people on here have to wake up to the fact that levys priority is to make money and profit for himself the directors and owners any success that may or may not come our way is just a welcome addition.

There is only a few owners who see glory as the be all and end all our chairman is not in that camp and never will be its profit first glory second let everyone just understand this.

1) Wonder what gave them the idea that such a ludicrous, outmoded way of thinking could get us CL football...next they'll be telling me we finished 4th, 5th, 4th, in the last three seasons - the naive fools

2) kdspur - Master of the Ironickall :eek::eek:

we had or have players to get us into top 4 spots yet we refuse or dont build on it.. this is not a game where we wait till new stadium is built to get more money to get new bigger name players.. we have players now who with some investment will get us there so instead of playing everything down and been conservative then take the limited risk in signing a couple of players who make a difference... if we dont succed then at least spurs will always have fucking idioits like u and me who will always go watch them play and keeping their coffers full so they can come to games in their big fuck off 200k cars and pretend life is all full of shits and giggles.
