From what I could gather they didn't boo the players during the game but afterwards some idiot shouted something as the players got on the team bus to depart the game.

Plus there were some anti-Team GB flags at the ground.

The idiots have a right to air their opinions, even if the majority of sane people would disagree.

I'm Welsh and have no issue with Team GB or Welsh players playing for Team GB. I'm very proud to be British.

The issue I have with the Olympics is as a Spurs fan. And that is that it spills over into the new Premier League season. Plus I'm worried Bale will pick up an injury and miss Spurs games.

Exactly this. It's not fair that football clubs pay wages for players and have them missing for their games. Similarly fashioned to the African Cup of Nations, I think that both are wholly unfair to the clubs.

Having said that we won't have any of our African lads missing this year as they all failed to qualify, in which case leave it be

Maybe he should consider retiring from International football then. Not like Wales are ever going to qualify for anything. Might aswell retire and not risk injuries and fatigue.

Wales been playing very well recently and 24 teams in Euro 2016, wouldn't surprise me if they qualified for that

I can't really agree with any fan booing their own players, regardless of the circumstances. I really can't see how team GB is going to have any real bearing on the football associations of any British nation. If you can have teams like San Marino, which is basically a city up it's own arse, as a member of Uefa, then the likes of Wales and Scotland have nothing to be getting worked up about. They are entitled to their opinion, so I wouldn't refer to them as idiots for making their opinions known, although in this case their opinions don't really have any substance other than hearsay, so the idiot tag might just fit the bill!

Isn't the Welsh and Scottish FA's against the joint GB team to protect thier seat at the IFAB which currently has 4 members from FIFA and one member each from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. The fear is that if a GB team plays at the Olympics that FIFA would have a precedence that may mean that instead of the vote each FA has a the IFAB they would only have 1.

That being said it is completely retarded to boo players over this.

the boos came from a tiny majority of about 20 so called supporters.they also had a huge banner untill it got converscated before kick off.im welsh and would be proud to see any of our players considered for team GB especially bale.

From what I saw of the game, 20 would have probably been the majority of the crowd...

Nobody's listening.... but.... just to say it again.... Wales fans didn't boo Bale and Ramsey yesterday.

There were a few other incidents, but no booing. They even cheered their names when called out by the PA, etc.

Changes to the laws of the games.

What exactly would FIFA be having a vote on that all the home nations wouldn't agree on? Maybe the welsh would want a bit more singing before the match? Cause let's face it, that's all theyre really good at.

Instant replay is the most recent.

Two votes for
Six against (two home nations + FIFA's 4 votes).

it is about time we had a GB team to replace the four nations. none of the 4 have any chance of winning anything. a unified team may have a chance.

if the scots and welsh dont like it then leave the union and go independent full tiem mand stop sponging of england

Their problem is that a GB team will set a precedent. And the minnow nations who already have a problem with Britain having 4 international teams will push harder to have a GB team for world cups and european championships. Thus destroying the England, scotland, Wales and NI football teams.

FIFA have made reassurances that this will not happen, but frankly I don't blame them for being skeptical.

I agree.

FIFA had indicated in the past that if Wales, Scotland and Ireland can come together with England for a GB team, then why should they have an individual vote in FIFA?

It's a fair question.

How come the Welsh have a problem with their players joining the GB Olympic football team but don't bat an eyelid when their players play for the British Lions Rugby? The time when the old 'we might lose our individual staus with FIFA' argument had legs is long gone........the football world continues to fragment into smaller bits not other

Well done

As other Welsh people on here have said (hopefully everyone will get it this time) there was NO booing during the game and what happened was a very isolated incident involving around 20 knobs after the match.

In short...nothing to see here, please move along
