You can't really argue with our defensive record the last two years though, can you? If you lose out to the first header, you're always in trouble, whichever way you've positioned the troops.
No, our defensive record is good. Could you tell if it was Vertonghen who got his head to the ball before McClean's shot?

Anyway, it was such a stupid fucking header from Davies that lead to us conceding the set piece. I don't think he's as bad as some people make out, but Pochettino's got a lot of work to do with him.

I haven't seen it back. That's even more unlucky if it was off our own player. Anyway, I don't think it was a coincidence that Toby was off the pitch either, let's just pray it's not too serious.

I understand the point you were making. I just think it is bullshit.
That we drop far too many points in a season to teams like West Brom (like we did last season) and those people neg-repping and coming out with the sarky comments are the ones who will bemoan these dropped points at the end of the season when we reflect, just like the end of last the season...

So when talking of bullshit, I think you need to look in the mirror first.

80-odd mins - should've won, worldy from the keeper preventing it.

89-mins - should've lost 1-0 down.

A point from there ain't a bad thing. We stay unbeaten & we move on. Fingers crossed our most important player isn't injured too badly

Not exactly a plan if you pick the wrong the team.

Normally a plan would go with a team :D
I was half joking. I think the international break came at a very bad time. Ideally we would have started Son today but he's clocked up a lot of air miles over the break and we've got a massive game on Tuesday.

We should have been leading at half time, in my opinion.

Well fuck me. I think that's crazy.

Is it really, when that's the first goal we've conceded from a corner this season (and it was hardly direct from one, with a fair bit of luck involved)? It's like when people say zonal marking doesn't work. They only highlight it when it looks stupid in the 1 out of 20 corners. Nobody mentions it during the other 19.

You are correct, obviously, but I reserve the right to be emotional.

Different positions
I know, but still, this is not a gut reaction, but almost seems like Erik & Eriksen are almost nailed on. By no means am I saying we should drop both or either, more that it is worrying that we don't have the right options for both if they are below par.

I want to see more of N'Koudou. He could be our Hazard.

So gutted about Toby. Blatantly going to be out for the season. Whenever we're on the verge of something good, a freakish piece of terrible luck destroys it for us.

Worrying that whenever teams come to sit against us and dig in we can't seem to up the tempo and seem to think slowing it down and taking more touches is the answer.

It isn't.

Not enough one or two touch play with quick movement. It's easy when teams open up and come at you. But these sort of games always seem to derail us.
