Spurs OS -

Share

Whilst we are concerned to read that there appears to have been a leak of information from the OPLC about what their recommendation and decision may be, we regard it as premature to make any comment at this stage.

Me thinks legal action may be being considered at this precise moment by the club:think:

In my opinion, with Levy saying that the NDP is "no longer viable" and that it's "the OS or nothing" suggests to me that he is trying to convince the fans that our only option is the OS, therefore making us feel that we must opt to move to the OS instead of rooting for the NDP to go ahead.

I get the impression that "the OS or nothing" is complete bullsh*t and he's just saying it so we get behind the OS as this makes more economical sense for the club as it is a much cheaper option and also I have a horrible feeling that if we win the right to move to the OS that Levy will go back on his word and not consult the fans about the move.

The only reason why I would want to move to the OS is only to p*ss off the West Spam fans and shut up Karen Brady, who im sure the only part of her job is to slag off our wonderful club to the press as this happens every single week. With this being my reason, it is not enough to make me a 'pro-stratford' fan, I am anti-stratford as I do not want us to move outside of Tottenham, especially not move closer to the east-end as the spammer fans WILL make out fortnightly trips to the stadium extremely difficult. I appreciate the move will put us in a better financial position and will benefit the club because of this, but we are TOTTENHAM Hotspur.

Rant over.

Surely you should just move closer to London then

Joking aside, I think a lot has been made of the transport thing and yet coming out of Wembley you are still stuck outside the tube station for 20 minutes, crawling along.

When you throw in the largest urban shopping centre into the mix, I doubt the system will cope. Will be interesting to see next year when the Olympics happens, but I predict chaos.

Nah, much prefer the Cumbrian air, than the smog of the capital city.

The good thing about that is, they can play a little game with the crowd at Half time. The hammers can throw the hammer, and the one who throws the furthest gets a (David) gold medal

You are spot on about the travel.

Did anyone else see Karren Brady on Sky News with Adam Boulton on Monday? I caught the end of it, and if my assumptions are correct, I think Boulton was saying she was hypocritical slaughtering Gray and Keys as sexist, as her bosses own(ed) the largest pornography firm in the UK. She was gobsmacked! Didn't expect a question like that!

Can anyone confirm this??!

I would imagine 99 % of building projects no
Matter how big or small go over budget

About half of all construction projects come in on or under budget. I know because I'm responsible for the data as part of my job...

She did have a look of exclamation on her face, but it was only because she was testing out the new Loveballs her employers are thinking of releasing.

Again Nick, you need to start thinking with a slightly more open mind.

For you, it very well might not be an issue, but for many others it will be easier to get to.

Certainly easier coming from my neck of the woods. (45 minutes to get to Wembley by car for example).

An hour's drive to get to OS currently, in the busy periods as well.

Certainly beats the 3 and a half hours it took me last time to get to WHL!

I just don't buy this argument that the NDP is and always has been "unviable". The spiel has been on the website for ages, over the last couple of years we've had constant trickles of info and pictures relating to it, and all of a sudden (at exactly the same time as we put in a bid for the OS) it's not an option? Small businesses couldn't afford to fight the CPOs, Haringey are desperate to keep us, and Levy is a businessman! Of course he wants to keep costs down and go for the cheapest option! Furthermore, seeing as Levy's main responsibility is to the shareholders, how do you think they will react if he fesses up that he was stringing them along with the NDP the whole time?

I honestly think in a month or so we'll see a very humble Levy with his tail between his legs saying we're going back in with the NDP.

The reason the Athletics world has backed West Ham's bid? Because it furnishes their back pocket ultimately. They don't care if it's Spurs or West Ham playing their football there. They care about how UK Athletics is going to get the most money out of getting in bed with a football club.

All this "legacy" crap is bullshit.

Nail on head Mr Stoof. Had to listen to more of this bollocks on some radio discussion earlier. At a time when we're being told we have to suffer cuts to almost all our public services, the government are going to be asked to support a scheme that spends public money on a new stadium for a privately owned football club and a sports body that doesn't really need it.

PS. Your mum.

I've never understood driving to football

Depends on where you go to, and whether you have a free lift.

For me to train it to WHL, it costs £33.

Not much different in the car, when you tie in parking costs, but not that much different in time.

Although ideally, I'd rather get pissed up and watch the match. Still either way, it's a fuck off expensive day for someone like myself to watch Spurs.

I drive to football, but then I live quit far away and don't really drink either. Straight into Tottenham, park in Ikea, go to game, walk back, drive home, easy enough.
