If Leicester can Hull can. The only thing that pisses me off about Leicester winning the league is that now they are the example for everything.

Last season I could not crap over my garden fence but after Leicester won the title everything is possible.

I didn't think there would ever be a second coming but Leicester..... and so on. I was even posting that Liverpool have no chance of the title or top 4 (just got beat of Burnley!) and some tard said well Leicester had a good team spirit last season and Liverpool seem to have the same so, the poster thought Liverpool could win the title... I mean what!

Yes, Leicester won the title last season, was it against the odds - yes, was it an amazing win - yes, I would say so. Does it mean pigs can fly - no it does not.

Rant over, and Spurs have every right to be title contenders this year.

Yep. If leicester can win it so can we.

That's the second time I've seen something about us being dirty today. I did think we fouled too much, but we certainly weren't allowed to get away with anything untoward.
We're not dirty in the classic Stoke sense, but we do engage in tactical fouling to break up opposition attacks. It's a very Argentinian trait, so nothing surprising from Poch. Long may it continue - nothing wrong with controlled aggression and cunning.

So what if we get a rep for being dirty? I like it. Pochettino has done a lot to try and change our mentality from frail fair-weather push-overs as described in the "lads, it's Spurs" Roy Keane story, i.e. "we all know what Tottenham are about, they are nice and tidy, but we'll fu**ing do em". All the top teams that compete for titles are dirty. The are ruthless and aggressive and don't take no sh** off anyone. They will surround the referee and try to get a decision, they will put pressure on referees, they will try get away with professional fouls, they will rough the other team's star play-maker up early doors.

Poch has been trying to get this attitude into the players and has signed players who have a bit of devil in them. Alli is a bit naughty, Dier probably left half the Chelsea team paraplegic after Stamford Bridge last season, Janssen puts himself about. I'll leave you with Pochettino's answer to a journalist who asked him why we signed Wanyama: "He's a beast!"

Agreed. Poch knew how to handle himself as a player and certainly won't want his team to be a bunch of lightweights who can be pushed around.

We've lacked that grit as an overall team for as long as I can remember. We've got a lot of technical quality in the side, boosting it with a bit of, well, stoic attitude could be the thing that turns us into a regular top four side with a genuine chance at the title each year.

Really hope we have Pochettino for at least 2 more seasons.

And yet their centrebacks fouled Janssen for minute one and neither picked up a booking until halfway through the second half.

Mind you, it is a contact sport. Refs on the whole (and lots of fans) want a yellow card for every mistimed tackle or foul nowadays.

Okay...anyway.

From RAWK, in a thread predicting the results for the first 5 games.

Burnley (A) - 3
Spurs (A) - 3
Leicester (H) - 3
Chelsea (A) - 3
Hull (H) - 3

Think Spurs are all out of sorts at the moment.

I find it interesting that the RAWK contingent hasn't had much to say about our weekend match. One thing for sure is that they aren't very confident going into it. I can't blame them.

I think it's because they had a game last night in the EFL. Cos they aren't in Europe. :sneaky:

Should see a bit more on it in the next day or so.

Yep 4 points from 2 games is shit isn't it?

Christ I hate them more than Woolwich. At least with certain Woolwich fans you can have some reasoned football conversation (my barber is a goon and fairly normal o_O) but Liverpool literally think no other clubs exist for any reason other than to lose to Liverpool.
