are people really expecting us to finish 5th or 6th? And last friday we were a shoe in for top 2.

bed wetters.

Losing the NLD and Arsenal signing one player doesnt change the fact we are a shit hot side with some very classy players yet to be integrated.

we'll finish above Utd and Liverpool.

I don't think we'll finish above Utd. They are still the champions and Fellaini will do well there. And in January they will probably buy Herrera. RVP with that terrible Arsenal team managed to get them top 4, and now he has a great team around him. Rooney seems to be settled and they have insane depth.

I think lots of people here expected us to add even more. Coentrao, Lamela, Willian/Eriksen and then Rodrigo or Muniain or somebody similar to them.

Our team+ Coentrao, Rodrigo and Muniain= Top 4 no problem IMO. Without them I'm not so sure. I'm not complaining, I love this TW, but we can't buy time for our players to gel and it will cost us some points no doubt. We have a great future though.

Do you think we looked any better in our first 3 games? Maybe first half against Swansea.

Yes first half against Swansea was better, although to be fair their first half against Stoke was pretty good to.

I know they've been without Suarez, just feel overall we are a stronger side from front to back.

The funny think about it, is Arsenal could have done with a Fellaini type and United could of done with an Ozil type.

Bizarre.

I think 5th, im not expecting us to gel as a team over night. I would look to see the team hitting what we hope around 20 games in. Atlest thinking like this if we do better i will be over the moon, but im not expecting miracles.

Goonscum have been banging on about how they cant incorporate both Cazorla and Wilshere in the team at the same time and need some steel. So Ozil does seem to be a statement signing rather than a necessary one, he only makes that problem worse.

Not going to be silly and say he is a waste or wont improve them, but throwing 45m at their problem areas would probably had a more relative improvement on their overall strength. They will at best only be able to play 2 of the 3 at any time.

I still see us as better than our 72 point side of last season , and anything more than 72 points is a top 4 shoe-in in my opinion. Fuck what they do.

If we don't make top 4 I just hope we can keep our squad together! I fed up with rebuilding every year. I'm worried AVB, Lloris, Verts, Sandro etc won't hang around for a lot longer unless we start making top 4.

Such a hard season to predict. Last season´s top 3 all have new managers, Arsenal have kept all their players but not strengthened the areas some think they should have, Liverpool have continuously improved under Rodgers and we have anything up to 7 new first team players.

On paper I believe Man City are strongest. They haven´t created a playing style and haven´t bought better than they already had.

Utd are the Prem´s most consistent side at the top of the tble with 5 titles in 8 seasons. Who knows how big the loss of SAF will be. They have a lethal strikeforce and Rooney could be a deciding factor. The players know each other inside out.

The return of the Special One hs Chelsea´s fans back on board after the unpopular sacking of RDM and hiring of the FSW. They´re not as strong as they were during Mourinho´s first spell in charge. I think he´ll go safe, like against Utd, and do well in an unspectacular fashion.

Arsenal apparently have a terrible defence. It was actually the 3rd best last season and we couldn´t break them down. Ozil is a genuine top player and will create loads of chanes. Giroud is criminally under-rated and one of the best finishers in the league. Their season will depend heavily on injuries.

Liverpool are looking solid and with Sturridge maintaining his excellent form they are not missing Suarez anywhere near as much as many were making out. In fact results wise the are doing better. They have kept Suarez and his behaviour could be a factor. I just can´t see them quite making the top 4.

We have 7 new first team players and have lost our talisman. On paper we are stronger than ever but AVB have a big job on his hands to get the right blend on midfield. Absolutely vital that he gets our wingers scoring.

I´ve gone with 4th based on my faith in AVB but it´s so hard to predict this season.

I voted for fourth - that is surely our target

This season the league is more open potentially than ever before - so we really have the potential to finish higher than 4th, although the downside of that is we also have the potential to finish as low as 6th this season

I don't think we'll show the consistency to finish in the top two - so I'd say we're fighting for places between 3rd and 6th this season and I this year we'll just sneak in to the CL (although it may require further investment in Jan)
Maybe I would have been spot on had we seen further investment in Jan

6th

Liverpool look good have made better transfers than usual with Suarez staying they are a force.

Arsenal basically flamini can do the job of kicking people as he proved he shut down our midfield pretty easily. Add the flair of ozil and giroud is starting to find his feet they finished above us last year with a weaker squad.

Our new signings will take a while to click we will drop points until they do will take a while to take points off teams we should be beating and as of the case predict we will finish strong but ultimately don't predict a top 4 finish think we will the Europa and fa cup!. If all the signings settle we need to have patience Rome wasn't built in a day season of transition we are a new look Tottenham will take us a while to find our identity
