Where is Dan Ashcroft when you need him?

Read the above in BOLD and you will see that Dan Ashcroft has been involved in a lot of that uncertainty.

It doesn't help when Dan Ashcroft uses the phrase 'plays' which is quite obviously an American Football term.

I could write a lot of the crap he has come out with and get 50% right. There are a lot of mugs, particularly during the transfer window, who believe anything and just because this so-called journo (I can't believe he even admitted he is one as that it the first rule of journalism that he has broken by admitting it) comes out with stuff, everyone believes it.

A lot of people have been :bowdown: to you Dan Ashcroft but you haven't got any history with THFC, you've proved it.

You can't beat a club statement IMHO.

I liked DA and guess still do. He writes well and am sure if he were to have a go and write about the current economic situation he could put a positive spin on it. He certainly was one of the stars during the summer with his insight into the goings on at Tottenham.

Now I tell you why I gave up on reading too much into DA's posts - it simply made me feel far better after reading and raised my expectations. It was a bit like going into a meeting with your manager really pissed off about something and coming out of it in a far better mood - though you know your manager is bullsh*tting you.

You see, as the transfer window was coming to a close I was not at all happy with the overall picture however DA was telling all and sundry that it was a fantastic window, and if I remember correctly at the end of the window we were told that Ramos was delighted as he got 6 out of 8 of his top top targets. I mean honestly how can someone like Ramos be delighted when even I knew we were desperately lacking in key positions. Ramos came to a strike force of Berbatov, Keane, Defoe and Bent. As of 2nd Sept he had at his disposal Pav, Bent and Campbell. How on earth can he be happy with that? It's like going from driving a Bentley to driving a Mini. It now transpires that he thinks Pav and Bent are too similar and can't play together. What a wonderful transfer policy we have!!

Not sure who exactly is to blame but one thing is for certain, we are a shambles and that starts from the very top.

You make a very fair point. DA's formations and player targets and who was deemed surplus to requirements as listed on here throughout the Summer all seemed to make logical sense. Since September 2nd it has all seemed to be baffling and with no clear direction whatsoever.

Other than using an Americanization in a perfectly coherent way to illustrate a point, what evidence do you have to back up your opinion?

I completely agree that it's important to use judgement on others statements/opinions, but please point out where any of his posts deviate into company spin?

I know things are a little bleak, but you must be living in a paranoid fantasy if you think that a) someone has enough time and a little enough life, to go to the effort of trying to continually hoodwink others, or b) that he club employs moles to influence fans with positive spin on messageboards. Been watching too many movies perhaps?

Actually I have found that you guys know a lot more about American Football than I do, and I live near Gilette, where the Pats play. So that point is a logical fallacy. Whether or not Dan is legit has nothing to do with a popular game. It's just an excuse for you.
