I can't fathom how anyone isn't excited. Not even on the basis of anything we've seen but purely out of love for the club and wanting the PL back.

So excited for the West Ham game

The key will be home form so if we beat the likes of Newcastle, west hame arsenal Liverpool and west brom then it may be a good season.

However im predicting 6th with a cup win likely to be the Europa league.

Last year I was really looking forward to the season beginning, but this year even more so. I have a really good feeling about Posh ( I wasn't too keen but give the guy a chance n all), all of the players who have spoken in public are fully behind him and many fringe/ younger players seem to be pushed a little harder. Last years signing are for the most part settled and seem to be gelling nicely (twitter pics etc). Is we stuff West Ham I'll be mega happy

I'm not that excited, to be honest. If Poch turns out to be a decent manager, he'll still have fans wanting him sacked if things aren't going well for a few weeks and if he turns out to be crap he'll be called a genius even if it's mostly luck. Is it too much to ask for a decent manager to be given time even if that means taking a step backwards to take one forwards?

Pfft people complaining about a lack of signings when we finally bought a left back, which was all I needed to make me happy to be honest!

Anyway, I view Lamela as a new signing, so I am looking forward to seeing our record signing and one of the most sought after young players in the world strutting his stuff for us next season.

The chance of seeing Eriksen and Lamela on the same team has got me very excited :D

I'm more excited than I've ever been. I really think Poch is going to work this group into the ground, and its been a long time in coming IMO.

We're already seeing signs of his coaching coming into affect and every passing week we'll get stronger.

Lamela and Eriksen are going to get us loads of goals.

I'm an optimist by nature but I think we'll start the season strongly, fancy us to win our first three games.

Not excited, but more relaxed about football than I have been for a while. Actually looking forward to just sitting down to watch Spurs and hoping for the best. I don't think any fans of other clubs or the media are expecting much from us at all this season, so in a lot of ways the pressure is off.
I'm excited for the season and more relaxed about it. For some reason, I don't feel the absolute need to get forth this year, just a good campaign were we constantly improve and play some good football and hopefully give some youngsters a chance.

I'm excited to see what Poch can do with the players such as Lamela, Eriksen, Holtby, Soldado and Chadli. I'm also excited/hopeful that we will see players like Veljkovic, Mason, Carroll, Kane and Bentaleb given a chance.

Personally, I think we can qualify from the Europa League group stage playing a different (weaker) team than that will play in the League either side of the games, giving more players a chance to impress and get game time. If we aren't looking like challenging for forth by the time the knockout stage comes around, then we can prioritise the EL over the league.

I was more excited last year; those Chadli, Paulinho, Soldado and Lamela youtube videos were on constant repeat.

Every shot they took went in.

Completely agree with this, my thoughts exactly.

Honestly I really am.

I think Mopo is gonna be a class manager.

I look forward to us pressing high up the pitch and really giving it a good go.

I think many of our last seasons signings are gonna come through and start to exhibit their worth.

I also can't wait for the surprise result such as Man U away which we are expected to lose and yet turn things around and do us proud.

Bring it all on I say :)

I know Dan Levy has a bit of a Gawd complex - but do you think that's really how he told Pochettino his target was fourth?

"Mauricio...get thee forth unto the high places"!

I'm very excited because I think we're going to play some good football for the first time in a few years.

I really don't think we need to beat ourselves up too much if we don't finish 4th. We are definitely on the outside looking in moreso than we have been in a while. Every team in that ballpark is spending big and I don't think there's much shame in saying we're very unlikely to finish above two of City/Chelsea/****s/LFC/United.

I want Levy to be a realist and look at what those 5 teams are doing. If this season is fourth or bust, he is asking the highly improbable. Barring something crazy like sitting in 15th or the players all revolting or Poch physically assaulting young innocent Tom Carroll, I want him to be given a lot of time.

If Poch can provide entertaining football and keep us in Europa League and put together some cup runs for the next few seasons, that'd be fantastic. Maybe when the stadium finally becomes a reality we can try to make that next push. I think we missed our best chance to break into the top 4 on a more consistent basis when LFC was fucking around pissing money up a wall and Arsenal weren't spending.

Just excited to see our manager and players smiling again. Hopefully it will rub off on the fans too.

We've had the joy sucked out of the game in recent seasons and a poisonous atmosphere around. Let's see some positivity around the place and a feeling of making progress rather than falling back.

Going to spurs is like going to the dentist. You don't really want to go but you know you have to go.
