I'm not saying he wasn't but you were saying that and my point was that Huddlestone is miles away from being a player who looks like he should be playing in a side challenging the top 4.

GL ,

You are right about Huddlestone and the same could be said about almost all of our players if the objective is instant success .

It's a massive dilema . Walk over burning coals to get a successful coach who wants to achieve greater things which will require better players which the club cannot actually afford .

Something is going to have to give , I don't know what , most likely Enic finding a buyer .

And Huddlestone is?

Taarabt can become a great player. Like Nedley has said, he showed more invention in his 30 minute cameo, then the whole of our midfield combined. Yes, he fucked up for their 4th, no if's or but's, he fucked up. However, the boy is a very good prospect.

Ally Dick,A Turner,S Houghton were good prospects, none of them made it.
Unless he can learn to pass the ball to a player in his own team and not try to take on 3/4 players one after another, he wont make in the EPl.
Needs to be loaned out to a championship side!

Some names to conjure with there!

As BOF posted a few days ago, it seems the less you've actually seen of Taarabt, the higher you rate him. It would be dumb to write him off, because he's got the skills to trouble the best defenders. But by the same token, he's got to learn when to forego the clever stuff and play the simple ball if it's on.

It can be taught though. I remember Joe Cole coming onto the scene and continously over playing against players in the EPL like he was playing against his mates at Market Road, but he soon 'grew' out of it...

Yep, some make it, some don't. It helped Joe Cole that he was at West Ham at a time when they were almost the English Ajax - their entire set up involved bringing kids from an excellent youth set up into the first team. We're trying to chase the CL and it wll be a lot more difficult for us to take risks on youngsters. If our coaching staff see a future for Taarabt, this is the best opportunity they will have to give him some proper PL experience.

As has been said before, I don't think loaning him to the Championship will help him at all - maybe a lower PL team next season, but if he plays with shit players it will only exaggerate his 1-man-team mentality.

I hope that Ramos locks Adel in a room with the footage of him losing the ball for the fourth newcastle goal and stands behind him repeating: that's why you don't try to take everyone on, my friend.

Flair players need to learn restraint in their skills and high-profile embarrassing mistakes are probably the best way to burn it into their heads. Although it sucks for our loss yesterday, if it means Taraabt learned something about his limitations, the day might not be completely wasted.

the only worrying thing is he has gone backwards this season i think he will be released in the summer purely cause ramos aint going to give anyone time until we are a better unit then youngsters will be given time may sound harsh but way he thinks

The learning curve will hopefully be huge from that.

I remember reading that Ginola got dropped from the French team by Houllier for doing something very similar and causing France to not qualify for a tournament. I think he was at PSG at the time - and by golly did it make him a better player.

Not much point in sending Taarabt out on loan. I can't see many managers at an level taking the risk of playing him.

It's all about Adel's head. As I wrote on page 2, there's no point sending a drug addict to rehab until they genuinely want to get clean. There's no point playing Taarabt in competitive matches until he decides he wants to play for the team.

He has genuine dribbling ability, and is better at beating a man than any of our other midfielders. But he has to learn when to try to beat a man, and when to pass. The fourth goal was a situation when he had to pass - because if he tried to beat a man and lost the ball then we would badly exposed at the back.

So, sending Taarabt on loan to the Championship with a bunch of technically inferior players will only encourage his fatal flaw: his backing of his own ability to dribble past the opposition single-handed whilst ignoring his teammates.

Until Adel wants to play for the team, he's no use at any level (which is why, as EddieBailey says, Championship managers probably wouldn't want him). Once Taarabt actually gets it and realizes football is a team game, he has a chance of making it at a high level.

You're right, it can be taught and he will mature. I'd just rather he did it in the reserves first.

He hasn't gone backwards, he just hasn't learned from his general mistake of playing with his head down and trying to beat the whole team.

he has loads of talent, but it's a team game.

Hardly been given a chance, I really hope he stays and plays because he looks awesome. Came on and looked good anumber of times but hardly ever given a chance.

What do u guys think?

He might be better of as a striker, he always tend to have a "GO" at the goal, he's fast and has dribling addiction. He plays like shit in the midfield.

Yeah this chump sitting next to me was saying Taarabt is like Ronaldo was...... Naturally I was in hysterics watching the waddling clown make a complete tit out of himself for half and hour. I call JJ and air head... But this guy really does take the biscuit.

He needs to watch endless videos of Kaka I reckon, he's that type of player, but he's got a lot to learn.

Fair enough the lad had a bad game, but the same could be said about many of our more senior experienced players. Maybe we should look at our skills trainers and our youth system, I can't recall a decent youngster coming up from the youth squad and getting 1st team chances except o'hara, and he is average at best.

He's nothing like Zidane though, thats the problem. Just because he's French Algerian and has good skills does not make him the new fucking Zidane. Zidane was a genius. As the article accepts, Taarabt suffers from a lack of onfield intelligence. How could you possibly compare someone who plays like a fucking downy to the greatest player of his generation???
