Our lack of fitness is quite troubling though. Considering we are one of the least technically gifted teams in the tournament, you would think it'd be a priority to be among the most fit.

Really enjoyed that game, picked Ghana to support before the match and watching them get so close but then lose it was upsetting. But fair play to the USA, got back in their and did what they had to do. Ghana for all their speed and stamina just had the final touch of well, Townsend. Can't help but think of how this will help football in the US to.

The lack of fitness in the US squad is worrying though.

Our midfield was terrible today. Could not keep the ball. Bradley better get his shit together. Worst game I've seen him play in some time. Loss of Altidore is bad. Say what you will about his club form, he has been fantastic in some big games for the US recently. Typical American team getting a win that they probably shouldn't have.

So far this is going exactly to play for the US to have any chance to advance. They need to get a point against Portugal and try to get through a group like this

US goes though on the GD from the Germany thrashing today. Overall a good day for the US. They gave themselves a chance.
