That was expected, Mexico is very well organized defensively and not playing too high. Netherlands are going to need a massive Robben to win, imho. On the other hand, I think Mexico could play 120 mins without scoring with Hernandez on the bench. Dos Santos was good against Cameroun but since that he's a bit transparent.

Yeah. And more generally I love this Mexican system. They play with 2 duos on the wings with one full back and one midfielder (Herrera/Aguilar and Guardado/Layun) it works very well.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Layun would be a great replacement for naughton in the squad. Can play both fullback positions comfortably. Start him at lb and let him be walker's back up on the right. He's definitely a better lb than rose, and probably as good of an option as we could actually buy.
