I did and still do it quite a bit, only way to get tickets sometimes, but my best and hardest was way back in 1972 when we beat Man Utd 4-1 at Old Trafford with Martin Peters scoring all 4. Me and my mate had got to the ground late and were running around the ground looking for a turnstile that was still open (yes folks we used to go to games without having to apply 2 months before hand). A copper saw us and said "in here lads" Thanks mate we both said, as we got through the turnstile feeling chuffed we had got in we looked up and saw the sign Stratford End f***..

We ended up in the middle of about 20,000 Utd fans who were giving dogs abuse to our team and our fans. Not sure how we kept quite as Peters smashed in 4 goals, especially as the abuse got worse, but what a train journey back we got absolutley hammered.

Looking back I must have been barmy although I am a big bloke 6ft 3in I have found myself in the away end at Arsenal, Chelsea, Villa and Millwall , I still go with a Man Utd season ticket holding mate to Old Trafford, which is much easier now because they are all bloody tourists anyway so no one takes any notice of a different face.

Great story mate. I've done Millwall a few times coming from south of the river (a few mates of mine are supporters).
You do get a good time with them. Fulham away stands out; the abuse they gave Keegan when he was manager was hilarious.

A few occasions come to mind....in the Park Lane for the Arsenal all ticket league game we lost 5-0 in the 80's....in the West Ham end with 50 other Spurs fans when we won 1970ish....in the Stretford End in 1980 LC 1-0 victory......in the Leeds end when we won with ten men....Miller sent off....in Boro end 0-0 draw 1979....in Scouse end at Wembley LC final 3-1 defeat.....oh and about five seasons in a row in 70's in Arsenal North Bank @2.55 :) Probably the West Ham one the most scarey.....

Was in the home end for both AC Milan and Real Madrid.

The Milan game we got our tickets off a tout earlier in the day and was all spread out individually over a couple of blocks. Not another Spurs fan in sight apart from us, despite hearing of thousands of Spurs fans in the home end as Riggi mentioned earlier. Had a Spurs rucksack wish I wore backwards like a spastic as I was too intimidated to show colours. Took enormous restraint not to celebrate the winner, had to kind of rock the barrier in front of me in an effort to display frustration. Could kind of let out some relief when Ibrahimovics goal was disallowed in injury time and they were all screaming at the ref/lino.

Madrid was a completely different story. We was in the adjacent corner to the away end, turned up expecting a similar experience to Milan but was shocked to see hundreds of Spurs fans. All of us singing and chanting all game. Despite the result it was probably the most fun I've had at a football game that day, the pre-game in the city square was epic!

I celebrated that like a cup final win. Me, my son and my United supporting mate ended up in a huddle bouncing across the living room lol

Dunno how you kept the emotion in lol fair play.
I sat in my seat for a while after the game and I was literally weeping with joy. If the cameras had picked up on me I would've become the symbol of City fans' despair after the game, which would've been a bit funny.

I didn't think being in the North Bank counted as an away end, ;).

The year the scum put up fences to segregate the North Bank i got my one and only arrest at a football ground, the scum realised we were Spurs and surrounded us in the North Bank, about 10 of us, we stood our ground but got nicked....200 quid fine and 2 years to keep the peace...it was handbags tbh and they were lame.

I see your wrong ending and I raise you wrong stadiuming.

I remember in the days of standing, around the 80s on a boxing day. Arsenal v Spurs. Chelsea game called off, around 200 chelsea come and stood in our end. They then brought in police to stand and cordon them in bang in the middle of the stand. I'm sure there were West Ham in the scums end as well. Absolute madness.

I was in the City end at the Etihad in 2010. Somehow managed to restain myself when Crouch scored the winner. Still have no idea how.
How?!?!?!?! I wouldn't have been able to contain myself and therefore, I will never go to a football with fans of the opposing team.

My first live game seeing Spurs against Arsenal sitting in the Clockend at Highbury amongst the scum. There I was in my Spurs Jersey and scarf I had no idea that it could have been dangerous, they say ignorance is bliss. They probably thought I was a nutter. Didn't need to cheer though as we lost 2-0 courtesy of Tony Woodcock.

I also sat in the KOP in that FA cup 1/4 final where we won 2-1, Klinsman and Sheringham playing. I got a kick in my back when I jumped and yelled when Sheringham scored the winner.[/quo

I was there mate, in the Spurs end behind the goal, Teddy hit the equaliser, Jurgen headed in the winner(y)

I stood in the Bob Bank when we played Cardiff away when Berba was playing for us. Spurs shirt under the coat. I did hear probably the best insult though. "Dawson you fuckin afterbirth" as he went to take a throw in

I don't care if it's a free ticket, I don't see the point in being in the other end. Can't do anything or enjoy it.

I was there too, very happy memories!

I was in the Rocket in Euston, decent no frills boozer with a mate and we ended up in a massive huddle after Crouchy's goal and at the end with random Yiddos. So amazing, wish I had gone up for the game.

I was getting beer poured over me in a packed (bricklayers packed) pub in town. All the pubs in chelmsford then spilled out into the town and it was manic. Fun times :(.

That was the most humiliating experience fan wise following Tottenham.

I was sat in the Shed when Chelsea spanked us 4-0 with Hasselbaink scoring a hat trick.

I am not sure what was worse really the match itself or the vile abuse the Chelsea fans surrounding me where giving the Spurs fans.

This was the one I was in their end too. Also been in with West Ham, Scum for the 3-1 semi win, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Twente, Nijmegen, PSV, Anderlecht, Charlton. Used to regularly go in the North Bank, Highbury. However that was with about 5,000 other Spurs too!

I think partly the disbelief of "I'm seeing this, I'm in the ground where we'll qualify for the CL" trumped everything else. My reaction to the goal was that my jaw dropped and I started to well up. The thought of jumping up and celebrating didn't even cross my mind.

I was in the Wednesday end for Jurgen's 1st game. Managed to stay low key until Jurgen scored. I was only 14 though so got a few comments but nothing threatening.

Never wrong ended, but stayed right to the end of the FA cup semi two years ago when we got spanked 5-1 and most other Spurs fans had left the stadium. Me and mate stayed and generally gave the finger to the opposition.

Walking back from Wembley we got penned in with mouthy Chelscum by the mounted police. Wasn't a lot of fun...
