It's been all about the team for me. Goals from everywhere and a good solid start minus a blip against two top class teams. Changes made here and there yet we are still pretty consistent. Yeah, Spurs consistent, I know! Eek

Good point made by Dougal, but If I have to pick one player, it would be Ledley. The guy is just immense. I don' have to go into the reasons as others have listed, but the guy is a class act to do what he does.

Defoe may have been on fire, but I cannot go for him after saturday. In my opinion he has seriously let us down. I love the little fella, but he is now missing for 3 games. So I am hoping that Crouch puts in some great performances with Robbie and it puts pressure on Harry to not bring Defoe straight back in.

All you fans who want to see more of Pav, may well get there chance now too with Defoe out.

I'd probably add Corluka to that list. I like him but think he's been slighty underwhelming so far this season.

I'd Put Charlie in the same bracket as Bassong and The Hudd. All 3 have played almost every game, with a verity of partners and positions.

Charlie has finally started to show an attacking threat from set peices aswell.

As for my player of the season so far, i'd have to go for Modric. He was a key figure in our start to the season, which as someone else pointed out gave us the platform and confidence to continue in his abscence.

don't really think we have had a 'stand out' player, because we have actually been more of a team this year.

goals are being spread around, which eases the pressure on the forwards, only real blip is the lack of clean sheets but as long as you win is that a worry?

the three msot influentail players have been - Luka before he got injured, Ledley for the way he has held an ever changing defence together and Keane. The Keano one I know will not go down well with everyone and it isn't necessarily for his playing (afterall he has had a few stinkers but so has JD) it's more for the way he bullies/cajoles players and acts as a leader of men

LENNON

He has made some important contributions at crucial times; winners against Birmingham and West Ham and some good assists. Without him our points tally would be significantly less.

I would say Defoe, his goals have been so important to us. He is a great player and deserves some rewards!

Palacios. His addition to the team has been so important and he was crucial to our good start.

i'm just glad croatia haven't qualified for the WC. Hopefully, this would keep our prized asset out of the limelight and get him a good rest over the summer.
